USAA.com. It's a bank for military members and their families. N couldn't find a ring he liked at any jewelry stores, so chose to get it from our bank.

Blue Nile. Totally worth it - the same exact quality of diamond would have cost twice as much at a major jewelers.

Mine is from Boscovs' it's a local department store. I think it's sorta like a Casco's (I think that's how you spell it?) I was never at one.

I got mine from Kay as well. We checked the local stores around here and they were all huge, ugly rings that were way over priced. I'm a simple girl so I didnt want a billion stones surrounding a center stone which seemed to be the theme of the local stores. It's nice for other people but not my taste.

Sweet, that's where I work! But when I looked at their prices they seemed high but I had only looked for a few moments.

I picked out both of my rings - all of our rings came from Jared (my wedding ring is from the Le Vian line). We got first class treatment there - we were looking at sapphire rings, dressed extremely casual, and once the salesman realized we were looking for wedding rings, his service level never changed. Very impressed. On site repair (at least at this location), which I really like.

No clue. I bought it from an estate jeweler and was told it is a 1930s art deco engagement ring. I'm pretty sure that's accurate. We're meaning to get it independently appraised. I do know the diamond is an Old European cut which was popular in the late 19th and very early 20th centuries. So the stone itself may or may not be older than the setting.

The diamond is from my MIL. The ring was designed by me and custom made by a peg legged guy living on a boat in St Thomas (yes, he is missing a leg and has a peg leg not a 'normal' artificial leg.) He sailed off a few months after making the ring.
