I feel bad for the girl whose mom is trying to force her into a big dress and wedding.  My mom tried that on me.  I told her it was my decision (of course with fiance)  and I would not be having a big wedding.  FI and I are not going to pay for it and wouldn't want her to pay for it.  It took her a while but she finally seems to be getting it.

I'm almost positive it was $10k.  The bride bought (if memory serves correctly) a dress at David's Bridal and added the lights herself, therefore "increasing the value"... plus I think she was featured on some type of "Wild Weddings" show, so it (the dress) is also a celebrity!!
