Who's here? What's up?

Re: Who's here? What's up?

  • I think thats really cool, awesome and sweet coincidence.
  • I have just been inspired to make croque madame for breakfast... thanks Brie!

And Roxi, you should make pizza. It's super easy and super-awesome.

  • TheSun- I often do make homemade pizza and T kept telling me to turn the bread dough into pizza crust but we don't have any sauce or pepperoni
  • Brie, I absolutely adore NOLA. I'm sorr you were underwhelmed by it; bad night maybe. Last time FI and I went, we ate ourselves sick and it was so fantastic.

I just got back from what is quite possibly the prettiest plantation in existence. I'm 95% sure we're doing the wedding there. The price was really great too. FI and I are going to see it tomorrow, because he's flying in from work today and isn't in town yet, so he couldn't see it today. I'm crossing my fingers that he'll be good to go and we can give them a deposit tomorrow. If you're interested: http://www.nottoway.com/

  • woohoo LC! Once I got my venue, everything else fell into place. An affordable outdoor spot was the hardest thing for me to find.

  • Wow and the pics are gorgeous! Now I have my fingers crossed for you :)

  • Thanks! FI has seen pictures, but has never seen it in person. Hopefully he'll fall as in love with it as I am. I actually toured the plantation on a school trip when I was 13. My mom was a chapperon for the school trip and I said to her, "I wanna get married here." Funny it might actually work out that way.

  • Wow, that is an awesome plantation! That would be my second choice if we weren't doing a beach wedding, do a plantation wedding. Not that we really have any in MN, so it'd still be a traveling thing.

I'm here for the night. FI is fishing for the weekend, one of the boats capsized but they're all okay, just a bit shaken up. I just went to find myself a good strapless bra, the VS one I have is just not cutting it. The saleslady says I'm wearing the way wrong size, she put me in a 32G when I've been in a 34DD. Holy much better feeling, I shoulda done this a long time ago. Was going to go use my 20% off coupon at the Coach factory store, but the line was out the friggin door, so screw that. Probably wouldn't have bought anything anyway.

Now I'm just going to putter around, drink, so some laundry, put a fence together when it cools down a bit. Enjoy my saturday night all alone Smile
  • Mocha- eventful day! I'm glad your fi is okay. Thatsinteresting about your bra haha I've always know what size I wear, and sure enough, I was right. Its pretty impossible to get it wrong when your boobs are non existent though, you just know that you need the smallest size.
  • Roxi, you should just make the sauce! You can throw a bunch of tomatoes and herbs in and reduce it. Or, go without sauce but use lots of cherry tomatoes on top with garlic, herbs and a tiny bit of tomato paste. Mmmmmm!
  • I would! No tomatoes though. Can you tell how lazy I'm being? I could run over and get some stuff but that would be getting dressed and honestly, spending today in my pajamas has been perfection. Maybe I'll make pizza tomorrow, T would be so happy.
  • I'm glad too. Fortunately, FI wasn't in the capsized boat, but our good friends were. Somehow a cell phone worked even though it was wet so they could call for help, and of course no one believed them at first.

I was amazed how much better things looked with the right size. I was getting a bit of the quadra boob thing going on. I figured I was off a size, but not by a band and few cup sizes worth.

  • TheSun- I'm perusing Snippet & Ink and just came across your wedding. It makes me smile!

Haha this is how I usually feel, Roxi... but I've found chocolate and cheese and suddenly I now fill out a b-cup! Woo!

;P

But seriously, you should get measured every once in awhile regardless of how small you feel, just to be sure you're wearing the right sized bras- they can make a lot of difference to your comfort!

  • I wish chocolate and cheese affected my boobs instead of my stomach. Then again, if that were the case I'd probably had DD's which would not suit me.

I'm still excited by that... speaking of which, I just remembered that our wedding was going to be in one of the biggest bridal magazines here next month... I wonder if the edition is out yet? They were supposed to send me a copy, but haven't got it yet- will have to look in the newsagency!

Yeah, I'm not quite sure how it worked for me. I think it was a combination of eating more and taking a higher dosage pill at the same time which did it. Don't get me wrong- everything else has increased in size somewhat, but they benefited by far the most, so I can cope with that.

  • Thats super exciting! Your wedding was truly gorgeous and amazing looking. And then of course, your dress....fate.
