For me I know I kind of got out of the habit of posting as much when TK was totally effed up for like a week straight. I love being here, but I don't love it enough to sift through threads that are all out of order. I don't know if anyone else dropped off a bit during all that.

I will mark my calendar, Stacks. 

I have an irrational irritation: crock pot recipes that only take 3-4 hours.  I need them to take at least 8 hours so I can make it while I'm at work.

Adamar, I just want a crockpot period, however long the recpies take. I randomly thought that yesterday and looked to see if any of the department stores had them, but it looks like they don't right now. They're not really a thing here

That's the most annoying thing I have found with the crock pot Adamar.  I love making food in mine but it just doesn't take long enought for me to leave it while I'm at work.  I tried using low instead of high thinking that would double the time, nope all I ended up with was some really dry chicken.

Most are a polyester/cotton blend, the disposable ones are usually some sort of plastic.

The ordering of threads is driving me crazy too. 

In other news, I'm pretty sure my cat Penny has figured out how to open doors. We always shut the cats out of the bedroom at night but I woke up at 2 am with her sitting right on top of me. I don't know how she does it, she definitely does not have opposable thumbs.

P&R Morning everyone! I have a tough ish workout today I'm not really looking forward to.  But tonight I'm going on a double date with my MOH and FI and my mutual friend.  I'm kind of excited, trying not to meddle (I set it up because they requested it), but they are both such nice people, it would be cool if it worked out or something.

I went for a run yesterday after reading LDY's thread. (New Year's Res accomlished miss inspiration you!) I had been a lazy bum for the last two weeks so I only did 2 miles instead of three but my hips are killing me today. I think I need to go get fitted for real shoes at a running store.

Adamar - is that 3-4 on high?  Could you do it double the time on low?

My crockpot cooks however long I ask and then switches to warm.  So it could cook for 4 hours, and then sit there for 5 hours on warm.

I'm not sure where they ordered it from, but it's a House of Doolittle calendar.  I got the landscapes series this year.  Changing it up from oceans.

Sorry about your first world problem of a non-programmable crockpot. I hope that you survive this hardship.  Maybe you could just make that recipe over the weekend.  Or in the evening, and reheat the next day.

So far the only calendar I have from 2012 is one I got for free in Rome. We were eating at a restaurant by our apartment and they just came around giving out 2012 calendars to everyone in the place. I thought it was kind of weird promotional material for a calendar, but whatever. The really weird part though is that there is a picture of a different sexual position on every single day. It's so random.

Ha I love it Anna.  That's hilarious.  There's not really any point in sending it back, because there's no way I'll still be here by December.  I really don't know why I wrote the pay days all the way through November.  I guess I'm just bored.

Bit of a P&R, but for those of you who read (and liked) the book "The Giver", are the other 2 books that make up the "trilogy" worth reading?  I'm seeing mixed reviews of them both, but I really liked "The Giver".

I really wanted to buy a "Cats of Rome" calendar I saw at a news stand, but H told me I was being a crazy cat lady. I probably would have never got around to hanging it up anyway.

The only place I have an actual hanging calendar is at work.  Otherwise I just use my phone.  I wish there was a good app that would sync calendars between my phone and H's.  That would be so convenient.

I cannot weigh in on the calendar dicussion.  FI and I use google calendars which syncs up on his phone, but not mine because I have a dumb phone. (i.e. the opposite of a smart phone).

However, today is FI and mine's last dating anniversary before we won't celebrate it anymore!
