Saturday!

I'm in Texas, and we start mid-August and get out the 1st week of June.  The Prom has been a different date every year. This year it's the end of April, but last year it wasn't until the end of May.

I likd that prom was after we were done with classes. Made it so much better to have such a great weekend and not worry about going back to school for like a month or so,

I'm working in clinic today with only one doc and he's seeing consults, so one an hour. It's a sloooooooow day. Should be working on my poli sci take home final but it's overwheleming. Also, how is politics of health care a science?!

I don't get why a church would be protesting a funneral (I'm Canadian so not always down with all the news). Awesome of you to be doing that though!

We had our prom in May, I think.  I remember prom always fell on the day of the swim team finals, which sucked.  But we definitely still had school after that.

Because they are terrible excuses for human beings.  But, they are terrible excuses for human beings with a freedom of speech.  Just to clarify, it is a small 'church' that mostly consists of members of one family.  It is not affiliated with any traditional Baptist congregations/churches.  You can google them to learn a little more.  But, yes, LDY is awesome for doing that.<div>
</div><div>Our proms were always on a Thursday night.  Juniors and Seniors we let out at noon on Thursday and had Friday off.  Fresh/soph has CPR and something else that Friday.  And they always made us go out on the lake for an after-prom boat ride.  It was always freezing since Prom was at the end of April, so it wasn't really that enjoyable.</div>

Prom for us was always the Saturday before Mother's Day. Parents were always pissed but that was just how it was always planned.

Yay LDY for doing that. If I knew they were coming out here to protest a funeral I would definitely be involved in that.
