Good Morning.

Re: Good Morning.

• Thanks Midge!

I really should try more.  It's hard to give a crap though, since it's literally just me, in an office, by myself.  The only people that see me are the construction guys that come in to pick up their orders, probably 3 or 4 a day.

I am wearing skinny jeans with gladiators though, so I guess I made a little effort?  The beach cover-up is actually kind of cute, and reminds me more of a tunic than anything.
• Good morning.
I always wear concealer and mascara. It only takes maybe 2 minutes to do. I'm pretty sure I could count the number of people who have seen me with absolutely no make-up on one hand.
• It's summer, and I have a tan, so I only do mascara most days.  In the winter, I need full face.

Morning all!

Speaking of outfits, I have failed in outfit planning all week.  My work does a thing in August where if you were a shirt in the color of the day, you can wear jeans.  I'm not usually in group solidarity crud but I'm all about wearing jeans to work so I participate in it.  Except this week for some reason I keep wearing the wrong color.  I'm apparently a week ahead and no matter how many times I recheck myself, I keep doing it.  Not my best week so far.

• I didn't even start wearing makeup until around 2008. Then I wore it pretty much every day. Now that I have to get up early and my office keeps lowering the dress code, it's hard to care too much. I still wear dresses and skirts quite often in the spring and summer but I could wear shorts every day if I wanted to.

My new goal in life is to get a job outside of customer service and preferrably one I can stop having to dress up and wear make-up.  Y'all have me convinced that this is a much better way of life.

• I have decided I need to dress nicer for work this year.  I am debating going shopping today...but part of me thinks I should wait until my mom can go, as she asked if she could buy me an outfit for all the stuff I have been doing for them.
I need some dress pants that actually fit.  My body sucks for pants.
• I used to wear concealer in HS when I cared about making sure people didn't see my terrible acne at the time. I still have scars from that now but I don't feel the need to put anything on my face. Pretty much all of my makeup is stage makeup from my dance days. I used to wear eyeliner a lot when I was first dating J. Then when we had been dating a while, I stopped, and he said it was a relief because he likes me without makeup so much more.

• Wow, Lynda.  I think that's incredibly moving.

I...don't really try when it comes to hair and makeup.  Some days I feel like it, but most of the time I just put on eyeliner and call it a day.  I got made fun of at WF for putting on eyeliner (it's camping, most people just shower and go), but I feel like I look tired and worn when I don't have it on.

• haha Calix...I don't know why, but that really made me laugh out loud.  I'm sorry your outfit planning isn't going well.

Glo, that's the thing.  I only wear eye makeup, so it really only takes me about 5 minutes to do.  I have absolutely no excuse except that I'm being lazy.
• I can't even figure out eyeliner. Then again, I also don't really like it on me so no big loss there. My BM who also did my makeup tried to lay it on way too thick and I made her take it off and redo it.
• Oh I am absolutely vain. But I guess I just think I look pretty damn good anyway, lol. Better than half the women here at the office who DO wear makeup everyday. So maybe that is even MORE vain haha. Ranchers how long does it take you to get ready from shower to finish in the morning if you have to curl your hair?!

• I couldn't curl my hair to save my life.  I just don't get how to do it.  I'm also terrified of burning my scalp because when I was little my mom would accidently get the curling iron to close to my head.

• I'm so excited!  The new Ikea catalog came in the mail yesterday.  I already have a ton of things circled...including a HUGE floor length mirror for our bathroom.

FI still hasn't taken me on our date to the Ikea store.  I just told him that he needs to fix this.
Morning! I am the sleepiest of the sleepies. H kept waking up because his sunburn was itchy, and I just kept waking up period so I'm dragging a little today. I can think of one day in the year and a half that I've worked at my job that I came in with powder and mascara only, and that was only because I had the worlds worst hangover. The only leniency I really give myself is I don't curl my hair on Fridays because it's a half day and I figure I'm going to do my hair later.

I used to do my hair and make-up every day.  I couldn't even imagine leaving the house without my face and hair all done.  Then I went a summer without blow drying my hair because it was too freaking hot and I got so many more compliments on my hair so now it seems kind of pointless to put in all that effort.  I alternate between putting my hair up and washing and going out the door but I'm considering chopping it off on my next appointment so I may have to go back to styling it again. Still do make-up every day though, except for lipstick; I can't seem to get into it for some reason.

• Morning everyone!

Beachy - I'm so happy your H is home safe!!!

I don't wear make-up either. Maybe when I go out with H or friends, but even then it's hit or miss. I do wish I put more effort into that sort of stuff (shoot even throwing some product in my hair on a regular basis would be a start). But, my office is super casual so I just never feel the need. Though even when I worked in a more "business-ey" office, I didn't wear make-up regularly.

This is the slowest of slow weeks. Work is super slow and with H OOT, I apparently turn into a big ol' lump on a log. I'm pretty lazy anyway (see above re: make-up) but man, this is bad!

• Hmm I take about 45 min with just the shower and hair blowdry. But... I have to also feed two dogs, take the two dogs out for bathroom breaks slash mini play time, and I eat breakfast which usually takes me like 10 min.

<div>Yea, I don't even shower in the mornings (I shower at night) and I still take 50 mintues from when I wake up to when I walk out the door. 15-20 of that is walking Sasha though. </div>
• I really can't function without breakfast. I have to get that quiet time just to myself every morning where I sit down, read a little news, and eat at the dining table. I've done it almost every morning since middle school so if I don't get it, I'm insanely cranky.
image
• Haha Rach, I just eat a banana for breakfast everyday. Usually I eat it while walking Sasha.
Musu - I wake up at 6:35 every morning and I am showered, make-upped(?), hair blow dried, curled, and dressed going out the door at 7:35. So..haha, an hour. If I'm in a hurry though I can do it in about 40 minutes.
Posted by rachers1017
I was out the door from the time I woke up (showered and blow dried my hair) in 18 minutes.  Granted, I was running late, but yeah.
• I haven't worn makeup since my high school prom. H was very adamant about me not wearing makeup for our wedding. I personally think I look better without it.
• I always bring a kashi granola bar to work. Sometimes there's a banana too. I don't like eating super early in the morning and I'm in too much of a rush to make time to do it at home.

• I can't eat too early, it makes me nauseous.  I'll eat a banana on the way to school at about 9:30ish.  I have to have my coffee, though, or I'm not a nice person.

I drink coffee every morning while I'm getting ready for work.  I have to have my morning cup.  I kind of shudder to think what would happen if I didn't have coffee; I'm so out of it in the mornings, even with the coffee.
