So, FI and I just got home from an amazing night, and I couldn't wait to share. First, he and I were inducted as members into our church. Since we were not transferring from a different Lutheran congregation, we were also confirmed (surprise to me). This was a huge step for both of us, so we invited our parents to come to church with us, and then out to dinner. It was also the first meeting for the parents. And, it went amazing. The dad's and the mom's got along extremely well, and we had extra time before dinner, so the mom's and I went to Boscovs to check out some MOB/MOG gowns, which they both loved. Dinner was at a fancy italian restaurant, where the liquor flowed and the food was AMAZING!!!!! I had chicken milanese, which is hands down the best I have ever had.
All the parents are actually planning a full weekend together before the wedding - dress shopping, and guy stuff. I can't believe how well this is all going!
