Thursday!

Re: Thursday!

  • Good to know Manda. We'll be TTC within a year or so of getting married, so I probably shouldn't get one anyways.

One thing I'm NOT looking forward to when I get off BCP are the cramps. Holy hell that's going to suck.
  • Good morning!

Happy Birthday Fishy! I also accidentally wrote this twice on her FB wall. Oops.

This has been the longest week ever. I seriously thought it was Thursday all day yesterday.
I'm now going to go read the rest of the thread.
  • ::Searches for her PM::

Sorry felt a little left out with all of the PM's flying around.

  • I'm just so popular! :-P j/k
  • Birdie you definitely should NOT get one. Getting an IUD was a little pre-view of labor. Not a pleasant experience. And since they're good from 5 to 12 years (depending on the kind you get) I don't recommend them for short term use. Also, it increased my cramping like whoa for about a year after I got it. I had it for 4 years.
  • cengle, stop trying to hog all the birthday cake with your extra birthday wishes.
  • Good morning everyone!

    Happy birthday, Fishy!
  • No thank you on the cramps then!

I'm pretty happy with what I'm on right now. It's awesome only having a period every three months.
  • Habs -- ehhhh, I don't know.  With my relationship with my sister (not that we have similar hair length or styles AT ALL), I know that we are close enough and open enough to be all "Um, no" if one of us found out the other wanted to do her hair in the same style (not that it would ever happen).  And that it wouldn't prompt a huge fight.  So if it had come to that, I probably would have asked her not to do her hair the same way as mine.

But you know your sister, and if you think she's igoing to get pissed off and that it's going to be a big "thing" if you ask her not to do her hair the same way, I wouldn't risk it.  She has a point, her hair isn't like yours, it won't look the same in the pictures.

  • Good morning. I can't sleep but am lying in bed still. I'm tired but awake at the same time. There seem to have been about 10 garbage trucks outside my apartment this morning which I don't think helps.

  • I loved the NuvaRing.  It was nice not having to remember to take a pill.  And you can still avoid having your monthly period by skipping the week out and just moving onto the next ring.
  • Ciara if Edmund does not come today I'm coming over there and getting him out myself!
  • I really hate taking the bcp too, and can't wait to stop. I even bought TCOYF the other day because I needed something to get my amazon order over $25 so I could get free shipping. My FI kind of freaked out when I took it out of the box. He was all "Fertility!?! What do you need to know about fertility?"
  • I loved TCOYF, and as much as I loved the convenience of the NuvaRing, I am glad that we do NFP.  It's nice to be hormone-free.
  • Thanks for the input Bay.

My sister is a ticking time bomb, so you just never know.  I've made some big concesssions for her for the wedding that my mom think was wise but unnecessary... I just don't know.  Our hair is the same length and I just don't want to look all bobsy twins.

My mom thinks I should say something to her about it.  I part of me doesn't care, but a part of me is doing the sister "what the hell sis, it's not about you!" thing...

  • I told H about TCOYF and NFP and he said he's not down for it.

I need to do more research and repropose the idea.

<div>Ahaha, I've avoided buying it for the same reason. I know that even though DH wants kids, he'd be all ZOMGWTF if that suddenly appeared in our house.</div>
  • Fl is not down with NFP either.  I went back on the pill after being off for a year.  I liked being hormone free too, but I do have ridic cramps that the pill has helped me with.

  • As the girls if the nightly thread know, the eviction process starts at 9pm tomorrow night. So he definitely should be here Saturday. At least I hope.

Since I'm quitting my job, we have to get our own insurance plan. Individual insurance coverage won't cover any type of maternity stuff until you've been on their plan 18 months. That really irritated me when I heard this. Not that we're TTC yet, but I wanted to have the coverage JIC. I haven't been paranoid about a birth control failure since we got married, but now I'm paranoid again since I know it wouldn't be covered if we had an oopsie pregnancy.

Missy: holy cow, I'm so sorry that happened to you. But you seem to be handling it really well.

  • So I really want to buy this purse because the name of it is 'TROPICA JOCELYN'.  Awwwww, I love buying things that are named Jocelyn.

Two problems:  One - it's not even cute and Two - It's $325.  BOO.
  • Don't do it Stacks.  It's not worth $325.  Name one of the purses you already own after your J.

H was very concerned when he saw TCOYF on my nightstand.
  • I love the idea of NFP and being hormone-free, but I just don't think I'm disciplined enough for it.

  • No worries, I would never purchase that piece of ugliness.  Kate Spade could have done much better with that one for realz!
  • $325?!>? Holy mother of pearl. Don't do it. stacks!!

    T-daaa. Only $68.
  • I found Jocelyn wine that was made in 2007 (which is her birth year).  That's my favorite so far.  She can have it on her 21st birthday.
