Good morning, E!!

I figured it was about time I started the GM thread. :) How is everyone today??

I got 3 million things done in the last 2 days, and today I think I'm just going to relax around the house.

Not a lot of new photos on my photoshare site yet... still looking for a good one to change my sig pic to. I might change my avatar too.. who knows? I suppose I just need to be patient. Hehe.

• Yeah for getting stuff done.  But shhh, don't tell H.  He's in the process of getting pissy with me because I refuse to unpack anything until I have a job.

He, however, has been completely unpacked since day three.

• Haha aMrs.. I don't know what I hate more. Packing or unpacking. I likely hate both equally.

And I have no idea where I got my energy these last few days because right now I'm having a hard time motivating myself to get up and refill my coffee. Hehe.
• Good Morning gals.  I hope everyone has a great day........I need coffee.

• AK, right now everything is professionally packed from when I left the US.  My shipment was delivered last Wednesday.  My theory is, it's packed well enough to survive storage for a year and an around the world boat trip.  Why mess with that in case we need to move again.  So I have a handfull of summer clothes out, underwear and the linens.  Everything else stays where it is.

• aMrs- that's a good plan! How is the job search going? Any promising leads?
• Good morning everyone.

I am dragging as$ today and even fell asleep on the couch last night. I am so ready for the long weekend. I just poured myself a second cup of coffee, so lets hope that helps get me moving.
• Job search sucks donkey azz.

Between the backpackers and the "roamers", they have destroyed the job market for me.  Backpackers, self explanatory.  The "roamers" (for lack of anything else to call them) sell their houses and move from town to town across OZ for a few years.  This seems to be a big thing to do down here.  But, in order to weed them out and get really permanent employees, employers have ridiculous demand.  Such as needing to have a Real Estate license to be a receptionist.  Yeah, not paying over $1100 to become a receptionist.

• Yikes!! That's crazy. Well, I hope something breaks for you soon!
• It has to, and soon.

That Topless Staff positions is still being advertised.  I'm like one rejection email away form saying "eff it" and applying.  They pay $30 an hour...
Good morning! I wish I was a better liar. People keep asking me if I'm excited for the wedding yet and I keep saying no because it doesn't feel real yet. Its a little more than two weeks away. When in the world is it going to stop feeling like a really expensive party I'm planning for someone else and like I'm getting married?
Posted by lovethebeach16
<div>I don't know that mine did until I was walking down the aisle.  Seriously.  And then the ceremony was so quick that it didn't feel real and the reception went back to being just an expensive party.  It was kind of a weird day for me.  Wonderful, but weird.</div><div>
</div><div>Morning ladies!  Not much going on, leaving for work now.  I hate Wednesdays.  They're so...inbetween.</div>

Ack!! $30/hour is nice but there is no way I could do that!
• Futre Mrs, YES.
I was all good until they told me to start walking down the aisle and I was "uhm, hey wait a minute.  I need to participate in this?

Very bizarre feeling.

AK, I was rejected for a position at Burger King.  My self-esteem and feeling of self-worth really can't get any lower than it already is.

• I'll agree with the bizarre feeling. I was very excited and thought that it felt very real... but as I was standing behind the door, locked arms with my parents, getting ready to walk down the aisle.... the coordinator swung the door open and I saw alllll these people looking at me and then the twilight zone feeling started. I remember the coordinator saying, "Don't forget to smile!!" as we started to walk... and a lot of the ceremony afterward is a blur.

Oh no!! Have you thought about maybe going in to business for yourself or doing freelance work online?
• I wish I could accuratley describe how UN internet savy my area is.  I'd say only about 10% of listing in the yellow pages have a website.  I mean what Interior Designers/Decorators DON'T have a website...and we finally got broadband, but we still don't have High Speed Broadband.  When we first moved in, we only had dial-up.

Heck, if the place has A/C, this 43 year old set would even be "perky" ;-)

• Good morning!!!!  I don't know if I'd show my boobs for $30/hr.  I think strippers make way more than that.

• Good morning, E!

$30/hour sounds nice but I was dying of embarrassment just being half-naked at my dress fitting a few weeks ago.  I know there's no way I could pull it off.

• Andy, BIG leap from being topless staff to actually dancing.  Plus tipping is NOT part of the culture down here and prostitution is legal (ish), so I'm not sure they make as much as they do in the states.

Plus everytime I threaten to apply, H just gives me a big ole stink eye.  So as much as we need the $$ I don't really see it happening.

I get a similar reaction if I tell FI I'm going to take up hooking as a second job.

• What my luck really needs to do is get a puppy and have guests coming over from the states.  That will guarantee that I get a job so I won't have any time to spend with said puppy or houseguest's.

• Good Morning!  School starts today, so we are up painfully early (for me).  I fear there is not enough coffee in the world to get me back into the swing of the school days schedule . .

• Good Morning! It's Wed, we're halfway through! I'm really, really hoping I can get the motivation to go home and clean a path in my craft room tonight. The boss is running late today, so that's always a good start to the day :)

• My sister strips at a club part time a few nights a week, and she can easily come home with $300-$400 cash a night.
• If my parents didn't know everyone in the state, I think I would have done it in college after my boob job.

• Haha LVB, yeah that's not something your parents need to hear from their friends. LOL!

My sister keeps trying to get me to do amateur night with her... we're 2 years separate but we look like twins. I. Just. Can't.
