Chiavari Chairs--Are they comfortable?

I am just curious...I read a post on another board about how they're not comfortable. I can't recall sitting on them.

They are pretty comfortable imo. I mean I wouldn't lounge on them to watch a movie but they look really nice and the cushion is soft. There is not a ton of back support so I suppose if you have back issues its not great but I don't mind sitting in them.

I really wanted these chairs at my wedding. When I was speaking with my sales person I mentioned and he said "Chiavari chairs are so much cheaper for me to buy than the ones I have but to be honest they are very uncomfortable.  I would feel terrible forcing people to sit in them anytime they came to an event here. If you want then y ou are more than welcome to rent."The strange thing is a few weeks later I went to a place that had them.  They were totally uncomfortable.  The back I mean because its all that bamboo stuff.

I don't think they are uncomfortable at all. They were definitely an added bonus at my venue.

I think they are less comfortable than the typical banquet hall chair that has the back cousin but I don't think they are uncomfortable.
