Really Pointless Poll: Diner Food

When you go to the diner, what is your signature meal that you usually get?I only ask because I am meeting my friend tonight at 6:15, and I can't, for the life of my pregnant self, decide what I want!! I thought I wanted a big salad with yummy dressing, but now i'm nauseaus (sp) thinking of that.

Disco fries, no question.....as for the main portion of the meal, that changes....sometimes a gyro, or a turkey club....

i never eat at the diner other than breakfast, but my fave is eggs benedict or the 3:00 am cheese fries

Chicken gyro with fries, extra tzazki sauce on the side!!! I'm surprised how many others like my go to of a gyro! Love the disco fries too

fries mozz and gravy are actually my favorite! but they don't call them disco fries at my diner - they call them (go figure...) fries, mozz and gravy!

I am also a sauce whore.  But my FAVORITE gravy is from my hometown diner (versailles in fairfield).  I have never had it as good!!!! and same with their honey mustard and their balsamic.  I want to rub all 3 on my body!

mushroom omelet. It doesn't matter what time of day. The funny thing is, I always read the menu for like 10 minutes before deciding.

that's what they're called on the menu at my diner too....but I still know that they're disco fries. Now you know and you can be cool like the rest of us! ;o)

2 sunny side up eggs or an omelette w/ dry whole wheat toast.  i also love matzah ball soup.

Depends on the diner! Some have good "diner food," some have good stuff that's more of regular dinner food (like actual meals). My usual orders include a cheddar cheeseburger, grilled chicken sandwich with mozzarella, chicken fingers and curly fries, buffalo wings, or a cup of chicken orzo soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. For breakfast it's usually a ham and cheddar omelet.

6 brothers also has good gravy!  i'm def. getting fries mozz and gravy.  now for my main meal.....I still am not sold on anything!

I haven't been in a diner in ages, but chicken fingers, fries and vanilla milkshake.  I still eat like I'm 8.

I know Dana, I kid I kid. You're the coolest of us all.Also fully enjoy taylor ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches when I come to NJ. You can't get taylor ham up here....so I have to bring it up from home and freeze it. Food is never the same when you have to cook it for yourself.

terrell tells me that I make THE BEST taylor ham egg and cheese sandwiches - even better than the diner.  I know he's not lying, cuz he doesn't compliment ANYTHING else I cook haha.  I'll have to make you one some time! I used to do the same thing though when I lived in CT - i'd freeze boxes and boxes of the taylor ham.

Grilled cheese w/ bacon, fries and a diet coke. Or pork roll, egg & cheese on a hard roll. For breakfast, pancakes. There's one not far from us that makes bacon pancakes. Yum! No need to order a side of meat.
