For those with DIY invitations- what adhesive did you use?

Im going to be making my invitations w/ supplies from cards and pockets. I will be doing pocketfolds with inserts. What type of glue did you use to mount the invitation part and also if you used belly bands/envelope liners, etc what did you use? Thanks for your help! I am excited to make my sample invite and make sure it looks OK!

Depending on the part of the invitation... spray adhesive, glue dots, and super tape.

I used rubber cement, It doesn't wrinkle the paper and holds up really well to heat, (especially if you are mailing them out anytime soon.) I also had pocket fold invites.

    Hi Felicia!

We also used rubber cement to mount the paper. It's completely repositional and if there's any seepage along the edges, it easily rubs off after it dries.  For the ribbon and to close the belly bands, we used glue dots.

Spray mount and some glue dots.

It depended on the part of the invite.  I used rubber cement for the layers I mounted in the pocketfold, double-sided tape to mount the actual invite, regular tape for the ribbon in the invite, and a glue gun for the belly band ribbon and cardstock monogram on the top of it.

I used rubber cement, and glue tape.  If you decide to try the glue tape, I strongly do NOT recommend using the Scotch Brand. It didn't hold well at all.

For our belly bands, we used Tombow Mono Adhesive, which is essentially a type of double-sided tape, but much better.  That's what our invitation designer recommended.  It isn't thick or messy at all and doesn't need to dry so it was much more klutz-proof than glue and the like -- very important when I'm involved in a craft :)
