4 months to plan!

my fiance proposed to me yesterday, wedding set for april.... any tips on how to help me? im going crazy with everything i need to do!

    Make lists.  Start there. 

    Make a list of the people you want to invite, then look for a location that will fit everyone and decide on a reception style where you can afford to host everyone.

    (You say you're having an April 15th wedding, so this step may be behind you a bit since venue booked generally = date set)

    Then make a list of the other things that HAVE to happen, (find something to wear, find your groom something to wear, etc) and then a list of things that it would be NICE to have happen (like hand lettering escort cards or something like that) and go from there.

    This board can be a great resource for you for both vendors and ideas.

    As Mary said, start thinking of things you REALLY want and come up with a prelim guest list...

    I also feel like budget is a huge huge part of the process. Only plan for what you can afford and don't over extend yourself as this can cause a lot of stress.

    Remember to breathe and have fun. Enjoy the time with your FI as its a very excting time (especially if you JUST got engaged).

    Do use the board! I found it to be a HUGE help throughout my planning process and you can also use the board not just to talk with other ladies, but also to find vendors and other wedding related things.

    I would also suggest introducing yourself a little bit just so we know who you are and also take Mary's advice about changing your SN on here.  While I haven't come across tooo many crazies. . it CAN happen and you should always be safe while on the internet :o)

    welcome congrats and good luck!!! this board is awesome!!

    1. ENJOY BEING ENGAGED!! only time in your life that you can say that! :)

    2. Figure out budget, guest count - this will help you pick the venue! Once that's in place, you can go ahead and send out save the dates (if you're using them)

    3. Photog, flowers, cake

    4. Attire and GET EXCITED!!

    I probably missed stuff, haha, but I'm having a 100-person wedding so my planning was a breeze! where are you getting married??
