Wednesday Confessions

I'm so glad i'm not cooking this year.  The only thing i'm making is a yummy looking trifle from Paula Deen (Thanks Lisa for the Recipe).

I'm totally planning to spend this entire day off in my pjs on the couch!

marni - mark my words - you'll complain about it now, but once you have the baby, you'll miss parts of it.  it's not as bad as it seems when you're going through it.

mine is a stupid/silly one - but i was responsible for bringing ham for brandon's school thanksgiving party - guess who forgot the ham in the fridge?!?!?!  i'm THAT mom!

also - wait until you feel the baby kick and move.  it's an unreal feeling that will give you pride that you can actually create another human being.  i sound sappy and corny, but trust me, you'll know what i mean when it happens.

Oh Dana don't get me wrong. When i feel the little flutters its totally the coolest thing. I guess i just expected to be one of those women who loves being preggo since my mom always told me she was.  It didn't work out that way though lol. I'm always sick and blah.

But those little flutters are definitely pretty cool :)

Dana - I would have done the same thing!

Jen- It will happen, don't stress like your hubby said!

I confess that I will not do a darn thing today at work considering we will be leaving in 2 hours.  I also confess that I love the fact that MH cooks all the time and I don't have to do a darn thing in the kitchen.  I know they are silly!

Jen, I hope everything works out for you!

I'm never a daytime knottie since I try to be good and not knot at work.  But since it's the day before Thanksgiving, and we'll be getting out early, I really don't feel like doing anything productive today and instead I'm knotting!

Dana - I literally posted up like 30 notes on the fridge, in the bathroom, etc. because I had to bring food for Justin's feast too (I did remember though) I have been 'THAT' Mom many times, many many times

Marni - don't feel bad I despised being pregnant.  I'm looking forward to another pregnancy that I will hopefull enjoy.

Jen - don't stress is right!

My confession - my black friday spreadsheet is ridiculous, I have maps of stores and prices/budgets, pictures of the items, etc. I looked at it 10 mins ago and realized its just beyond ok to do this - My MIL will probably have a stroke when she sees how seriously I take this

Yes I know, I'm a freak. My mom got me on the BF kick when I was like 16 and I just never turned back lol.  Now that I have my own family and friends to shop for seriously - I take it to a whole new level.  Plus since we're on such a tight budget this year I figured the more I pre-planned the less "oooh I need that" I'll do at the store

It's mostly kids toys, electronics for DH and housewares for my friend's Eparty

I couldn't do clothes on BF I'd lose my gourd...although I never pass up Vicky's since they always give away those great bags full of sample size stuff

They don't "give" out samples -- they always just do a special where if you spend xx on beauty products or w/e then you get a cute tote bag full of sample sized items

Digital cam is always on my bf list but not this year because I got a good one for the HM over the summer...although I might just pick one up it'll make a good gift for someone

I'm going for GPS, Blu Ray, Nintendo DS, dvd/video games, kitchenaid mixer, toys galore (which toys r us opens at midnight tomorrow), crock pot, TV and DVD player...I think everything else is just little odds and ends type stuff

kris - the sad part is....I GOT THE HAM!! it's in my fridge.  and we don't eat ham, so ti's going to sit there and go bad. grrr.

I am debating whether or not to go out BF.  I would only go to one store, like target or something.  I don't know if it's worth the hassle for me! are toys really that much cheaper?

my real confession - i worry about being able to love another child as much as I love brandon.  I know it'll happen (just like every mother loves their kids equally - or should) but I look at him now, and i feel almost guilty that i'm taking away my 100% attention on him, and spreading it out for another child also.

skip the friday hassle and go to toys r us on thursday night - they open at midnight...they are having some great deals but I suppose it depends on what you want - I'm getting J an easel with the starter kit which will be $49.99...normally would cost about $99, so that's a decent discount - plus I'm getting him a DS on Friday @ Walmart so I'm getting the BOGO games at Toys r us for $21 that's a steal
They'll have movies for $3.49 and the crayola art sets are $8.99 usually $12.99 and the play doh sets are like $5 usually close to $10; oh and they have a DVD player for like $14 -- In-law's are getting him a TV for his room so

Walmart seems to outdo Target again this year, in almost every department so go to Wally world if anything if you are going out on Friday - especially for toys.  They also have the character PJ sets for $3 and then the motorized cars/jeep for $69

And Dana - that is the EXACT reason why I do not want to get preg right now - I couldn't imagine loving another child the way I do Justin, ever! That's scary to me because I couldn't bring a child into this world knowing that's how I feel - you'll have to let me know how it goes (lol) when Carys comes!!!

I'll try to stay awake for toys r us!!  I don't know if I can past 12!

30May - I know Walmart has a rediculous deal on a GPS about $60 I think and target has one for $80.  I am gonna try to get the one at Walmart, but FI (who is a debbie downer) is telling me they will probably only have like 20 of them.

i feel this way about my dog.  DH says that is why we can't get another; we couldn't love it nearly as much or share our attention.  very selfish i guess... scared this feeling still sticks around when you have kids!

Allie and Dana - FI and I felt the same way about our first dog.  We had Molly for about a year and a half when we decided to get her a little brother.  I was so scared that I would not be able to love him and that Molly would hate us.  But we got our little man about 6 months ago and i have to say I can not imagine my life without both of them.  Molly was/is my little princess and now I have a little prince too.  We have been very careful to give Molly the same amount of attention and they each have such different personalities that it works out great.  I am relieved to see I can love more than one child (dog).

I was never gung-ho about Christmas, but in the past few years I've come to dislike it more and more.

I hate how early the stores stock stuff and the radio stations start playing Christmas music, I hate the shopping crowds, I hate store and mall parking lots, I hate the commercialism, I hate the amount of resources that are wasted (wrapping paper, useless gifts, packaging, kids getting toys they'll play with for five minutes and then ditch for something else).

I also don't like having to get extended family members a gift just because they got me something. And 90% of the time, we all exchange useless junk that we got just for the hell of it, and we all KNOW this stuff will never be used. I wish we would just do a Secret Santa or a Yankee Swap, and spend our time and money getting one cool and personalized gift for someone instead of 15 tiny crappy gifts that nobody gives a rat's heiney about. But I don't want to suggest it because I know people will take it as "MB just being cheap/lazy."
