The Dain Shoppe

Has anyone gone here?  I got my dress at Arlenes Bridal and they told me to go here to get a bra.  She told me I would be able to get a couple different bras and bring them to my dress fitting, then return the ones that dont work.  Has anyone done this?  Are they good with their return policy?  I would hate to spend a lot of money on bras and them give me trouble returning them.

Thanks!

    Also are they knowledgeable and helpful?  It's been a while since I saw my dress and Im not sure what type of bra I would need.  Also the sample dress I tried on was literally 10 sizes too big for me so Im unsure how the sweet heart neckline will fit once its in my size.

  • I've never been, and can't speak to their return policy but my MOH swears by this place.  She said yes, the bras are expensive, but she has never had such good fitting, nice quality bras before.

    I think its worth at least a call to them to ask about the return policy and even a trip out there to see what they have.

  • I have heard only good things... my MIL, SIL and GMIL (?) got their undergarments there, and a few of my friends got their bras there too.  I visited twice but didn't buy anything (a-hem, more because I didn't need it - lol).

    If you go, be sure to bring quarters for the meters.  GL!

  • Will you have boning in your dress?  I am not planning on wearing anything underneath on top because my dress is so structured.
  • The Dain Shoppe is awesome! I can't say enough good things about them. A friend recommended that I go there for the same exact reason. They let me 'borrow' two bras at a time to see what would fit best with my dress. As long as I brought them back with the tags on, I didn't have to pay.

    The girls there are extremely knowledgable and helpful. I had been wearing the wrong size bra, by 2 cup sizes and 1 number size. Now my bras look normal. I also went there to get all my honeymoon lingerie. Plus I bought a dress for the honeymoon that was very low cut and halter neck, they told me to just come in with the dress and they would help me find the right bra, which they did.

    Yes, it's a bit expensive there, but I think totally worth it. The bras I have bought there have lasted a lot longer than the ones I had been wearing.
  • Thanks for the responses girls!  I'm excited now to check that place out!

    Here is my dress;

    I think I am going to need some type of bra, but if not then I'll just brings them back!

  • Gina, can your seamstress sew cups in the dress so you don't have to wear a bra?  If you can get the dress to fit snug enough it could hold you up, especially since there's support along the back.  Unless you wanted some extra oomph lol
