COTF - AIO Only?

I know that COTF is an all in one sorta place, but do they allow any outside vendors, i.e. while paying an outside fee? i.e. for photographers

I believe when I contacted then over a year ago, I was told I could do my own bouquet if not floral and use my flowers to something else ...

Anyone know the deets?

Thank you fab knotties as always!

Re: COTF - AIO Only?

  • Pretty sure you're locked to their photog.

Married in Vegas - June 2011

  • No you can't use any outside vendors there at all I believe. You might be able to get away with a bouquet though.
  • They will not allow outside vendors, including photographers - even your own guests are not allowed to take picutres whilst in the grounds, before, during or after the ceremony.

You can bring your own flowers but in doing so you forfeit their entire floral package, and you cannot substitute it or get a refund. ie. if you bring your own bouquet, they will not supply ANY of the flowers!

I would like to bring in a non-floral bouquet...i.e. paper flowers, or feathers or a brooch bouquet, maybe some other DIY project, haven't decided yet -  I think that will be okay and I can still get the flowers I believe.

Gribbles - re: photography, did you buy all the rights ($795 price tag) and then you got all your photos they took?  I guess I really want to ensure I get my photos and I love love the grounds... my second choice is IP, but I want to make it work for COTF if I can.

Nope, i did not buy the rights. I had 75 prints and a large canvas included in our package. I bought an additional 10 more, and then made a further order a few months later for our parents. We had Todd for a strip tour afterwards and got all the posed photos we could want.

We were lucky enough to have the COF lifestyle photographer free of charge on the day - I preferred that style of photography, but none of the prints were included which was sad. Here is my review of COF photography, in case you haven't seen it:

CHAPEL OF THE FLOWERS PHOTOGRAPHY: B
We had Mike for our primary ceremony and pre and post ceremony shots. We also had Shayna as our lifestyle photographer. I had to sign a form saying I understood that only Mike’s photos were included in our package.

He took some great shots and coordinated our flower petal confetti shot which was the one thing I really wanted

.We went back the next day to choose our prints and although I knew it would happen, I was not prepared for the emotional investment in the photos! They had a slideshow with music all set up (a little cheesy but still gorgeous) and Shayna’s shots were incredible. I much prefer her candid style than the typical posed shots that were included in our package.

It was tricky but we eventually chose our 75 prints and enlargements out of the 800+ presented to us. I ended up buying 10 of Shayna’s photos as well. I wanted more but was not prepared to spend $795 for the CD when I still have Todd’s photos to come. I need to find a way of scanning them onto my laptop!

Ahh! see I am worried about being torn re: the photos.  I love the flower confetti and I would definately want some around the grounds, I love the crystal canopy!  And I too want to use the glass gardens. Plus I will be hiring another photographer for the rest of the wedding too... and I too am a candid shots person - ahhh I hope I have no regrets if I decide to go the COTF route... I hope the ones I do choose will be enough!!!! LOL

How long did it take to the photos? Did you get a DVD of the ceremony? How long did it take to get that?

We went to view our pics the day after the ceremony and got our prints and the DVDs there and then. Just had to wait around for 15 mins while they did the enlargements. The prints are all printed off, waiting for you to choose (and it is gutting knowing that the leftovers will be tossed in the bin!)

The canvas took longer to come - we are in the UK - I would say it took 2 weeks or so to arrive by Fedex.

Thanks for answering- wow, I can't belive they have them all printed. I can imagine that feeling to leave the rest there.

  • I just wanted to say that my husband & I did buy the disc with rights of our pics from COTF & do not regret it at all. There were close to 500 pics and at $800 I really don't think that price is unreasonable... we had Todd after the ceremony too but we didn't take any posed pics with family with him (if our strip tour had happened we probably would have but the DD bus never showed up sooo...). In any case the pictures from COTF were awesome & we are so glad to have them to print/upload/put in albums/etc. & that package comes with all those prints they had printed the next day & the slideshow.

Also they let you basically put it on layaway, we just put $100 down then paid it off after Christmas with gift cards we got from family. :)

Oh that is awesome, thanks for this!  Did that included the posing ones and the lifestyles ones?

    <div>
</div><div>Yes ma'am, it included every picture that the regular photog & the lifestyle photog took... AND they turned all the regular photog's pics into Black & white & sepia toned, so we basically got 3 sets of the regular pics! I know it's something I could have done but on several hundred pics it would have taken me awhile! </div><div>
</div><div>We seriously went in to the photography selection thing with every intention of NOT buying the package. But when it came down to it, we didn't want to choose just a few & especially since we could pay it off on our own schedule.. it was something we couldn't pass up.</div>
