Wear a boutonniere with no jacket?

Any thoughts ladies?  All the guys including groom are wearing panel shirts (ala Charlie Sheen).  Should the groom at least be wearing a boutonniere?  Will it look bad pinned on a shirt?

I don't know, to be honest I think boutonneires may be a conspiracy by florists to get a bit more money out of you...

I'm not sure if that will look right.  Could the groom maybe get a different shirt in the same style or color to stand out from the groomsmen?

Do you have a photo of his shirt, as I dont quite know what you mean. Either way, I dont think you can go wrong with a bout that is maybe just a single rose? No greenery to minimise overkill.

My FI is wearing the same shirt that your Dads are wearing.  A single rose boutonniere comes with our package so I was planning on him wearing it.  Knowing him it will come off as soon as the ceremony is over LOL
If it didn't come with our package, I probably wouldn't have ordered one.  But not because I would think it would look cheesy, I am just not a HUGE flower person and can easily spend money on something else.
