Welcome bag goodies from the Visitors/Convention Bureau??

I could have sworn I saw a post on here about how you could request "goodies" (like maps, pens, discount coupons, area info) for welcome bags from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors bureau.  Anyone have any experience with this?  I tried to locate the post but for the life of me I can't.  I called the Visitors Center and they sort of gave me a vague answer like I "might" need to contact this department....

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Give me info on how they achieved this?  I'd like to have things like this to include in our welcome bags for our guests since everyone will be coming from out of town.

I have heard that if you call them they will deliver the items right to your hotel...but hearing from the PP I am guessing they are hard to get ahold of!

My plan all along has been to stop by there when I arrive in Vegas. We get in next Wednesday and I am just gonna stop by and pick up the city guides. I didn't want to request them and have them shipped here, just to have to ship them back to Vegas (I needed about 55 of them because we are making out of town bags for all our guests).

Not sure if I will get anything "extra" doing it this way but from what I have read on the boards during my planning process, they are very hit or miss in sending the extra stuff like the keychains, pens, etc. I just wanted to make sure I have a city guide to put in our bags!

Maybe since you guys said you having trouble there might be another place or site we can go through to get stuff. Or just go to a convention center or a place in the airport that has flyers or something?

I I think I called the main number ((702) 892-7575) and asked to speak with the marketing department. I got through right away, they asked for some information and I received the box a couple of weeks later. They sent me plastic bags, pins, pens & visitor guides.

I just called the main number today and spoke with the marketing department. I told a girl there that I would be coming by to pick up 50 visitor guides next week and if she could have them ready for me. She took all my info and told me she would get it together and ready for pick up and throw in some keychains and other goodies too!
