Poll: How much did you ask your bridesmaids to spend?

I spent about $60.00 on each of my girls for  gifts.  Each girl got two pieces of jewlery (not for the wedding, just two pieces I thought they would like), a clutch, and a picture frame.

dress: $148 (they picked out and paid for themselves)
shoes: it's up to them - they can wear any black shoes they want
airfare/hotel: they're all paying on their own - everyone is coming on a different day with a different mix of people (friends/family/etc), average cost is around $400 i think

what i'm paying for:
- hair and make up for those who want it (3 said yes, 1 said no); wasn't required: $200/per girl
- gifts (purse) $145/per girl
- jewelry ("required" for the wedding, so i'm paying): $35/per girl

for the boys:
- we told them to wear a black suit and white shirt, which is free for all of them since they all already had a black suit and white shirt

what we're paying for:
- black and apple green tie for wedding: $60/each
- gift (watch - different for each guy - average cost $200)
- breakfast/brucnh morning of wedding: our treat, around $40/per person

i'm debating buying the boys fun socks, but i think at least two of them would hate me for it, so that's probably not happening - haha

I only have a MOH so far and have offered to pay for the dress/professional hair and make-up.  She's paying for her own flight and hotel, and any other accessories.

Hair & makeup for the girls will end up being around $400 and I'll probably still end up spending another $300 - $400 for gifts (4 BM's).

We are each having one person stand up for us.

I chose the color of dress (black) and told her to wear whatever style of dress she chooses. I'm sort of hoping she wears one she already has so it's less money for her, but it's totally her choice. Same goes for shoes.

I'm paying for hair and makeup as part of my gift to her. I will likely also get her some sort of jewellery or a great pashmina.

She will be paying for hotel and air.
