WOW! So I guess we are not grown enough to discuss me to me. Let me tell you where I come from, I am a grown woman who is defending your country and trying to afford to have a wedding on the little bit of pay I get. I am shocked at the way YOU women act. I thought a forum like this would be to support each other but obvously not. Women are such judgemental creatures and you woman take the cake. Really ladies???
Posted by MarryingmyKnight
Firstly love you aren't defending my country and playing the I am in the military/a teacher/young card is such a total cop out to me. Plenty of people on a very small wage find ways to host a wedding properly.

Everyone has a story- you are not unique. As Smokey said she has saved for years for a wedding and so have other brides. There have been a lot of military brides here who have made it work. There have also been a lot of brides who have become unemployed during their planning and have had to scale back or postpone.

I honestly think you are being judgemental of everyone who had an opposing opinion and did not validate your idea.

how classy of you to boast about defending a country and then use it as an excuse to be a poor host. I was raised to thank service men and women that I see in public every chance I get, and unlike you they've all been very humble.

She posted this on the Military Board, but she didn't ask the same question. There, it now says she is having cake, champagne, and apps for her in suite reception. She's asking if there's anything wrong with that, because another board jumped on her for it.

Of course she changed her story to get the responses she wants. She just doesn't know how girls on the MB board can be. They are down right brutally honest, so if she had posted her OP on there, she'd probably get much harsher responses. I am a lot tamer next to some of those girls. Lol. Drama usually always go down on the MB board.

I used to like tiffhiam. But I do not like people telling me (or others) to stop posting and "move on" or that "the OP didn't want advice". Either way she's definitely asking for advice on the MB board! Funny how that worked out!

I know you will probably forever think we are biitches, but we are not. This is all we wanted from you, to look at you budget again and see if there is something you can do to thank your guests. It does not have to be extravagant at all, but it should be something. Almost all of us here and had to plan, save, and pay for our own weddings so just know that we have probably all had the budget blues. You are not alone here so do not make us out like we are the enemy. We really are trying to help.

Thank you for your advice ma'am. I will do that. I would love to thank my guest some kind of way and hopefully I can. I don't think you are bitches but I do think that some of you are a very judgemental and harsh. I also think it was mean and rude to poke fun of me on another thread. I hope we can all get pass this and I can continue to get good advice and ideas.

I'm telling you, daytime ceremony and buffet!

If you save $75 a month from now till the wedding, you will have at least $525 to take 20 people to a buffet lunch Laughing

look at Texas Station! Shannyn posted about it last week and I looked it up and it was VERY reasonable! A lot of their wedding packages even included buffet meals. It is off the strip but that shouldn't stop it from being an option.

Does that $2500 also include travel costs, hotel room, rings, invitations or does it just need to cover the following:

Dress
Tuxes
FG dress
accessories??? what are these?
Ceremony
