Spring engagement pictures

We'll be taking our epics this spring but I'm wondering when would be the best time to take them? We want to make sure everything is blooming and turning green (no snow on the ground or brown, dried out grass). Also, any location suggestions in and around Muscatine or the Quad Cities? We have a one hour session.

I'm not from the area (my husband is), so I don't know where Muscatine is, but we had e-pics taken at Duck Creek Park in Davenport (or Bettendorf, I'm not sure).  In the midwest, it's hard to schedule around snow unless you want to wait until April or May.  I think snow pictures would be cute.  It rained during our e-pics but the park had a gazebo and shelters that we were under, but you couldn't tell at all!

Eagle Point park in clinton might be cool. Otherwise check this site out, it has good ideas you might not think of.

Our photographer used Devils Glen Park in Bettendorf - you have it all there including trees, flowers, barn, creek, an underpass with a creek, stone walls.   Lots of very scenic locations for creative shots.   The pictures were stunning.  I believe it was late spring when the pictures were taken.

We're also taking a spring engagement pic session...but our photographer wants us to wait until May or June to make sure everything is blooming.

Scott county park has some nice places for pictures also, or Vanderveer park in Davenport.
