Hi ladies,
God surely blessed our wedding day!!! I was married on May 22 in Byron Center. We had an awesomely day perfect, weather included and no big problems; not to mention our vendors were awesome!!!
First Byron Christian Reformed Church A++
absolutely beautiful church on 85th st and byron center ave.
-they were so very helpful with everything and flexible in times and letting us use items from the chruch. cannot say enough good things about them and their staff.
St. Mary's Visitation Hall B-
Lady in charge of hall is kinda hard to get ahold but very helpful. They didn't have pictures or dimensions when I asked, I had to go and take my own, which is fine. The hall its self is nice, we were more intersted in the location. Its a very nice hall with hard wood floors. Wasn't happy the day before going in to decorate the carpet in the front by the door was dirty, we had to clean that. Other than super minor things, it was great
North Dorr General Store C-
They were recommended by the hall to use for our bar. The lady in charge was helpful with pricing and reasonable too. We had agreed on what we wanted and it would come to that total if we used all the beer and wine we requested but they wouldn't charge if we didn't open them....ok that went fine. The reason for the rating is the fact, that they allowed people who were at the reception to CHARGED items to our account. we never agreed to anything but the kegs and wine.
side note: people at our reception couldn't wait till after dinner to have a drink so they walked across the street during dinner to buy beer and whatever(reason why the hall recommends as they are so close to the hall)
Ok, with that being said my brother in law went the following MOnday to pay our tab with them to only find out this and only get a reciept on a piece of paper grocery bag!!! Even after he asked for a breakdown of the bill....needless to say, when we found out the bill had been paid and not much we could do.

She does it as a side business and is my future sister in laws mother. Food was awesome can't say enough, everyone was saying it all night long how good it was...if you want her number email me i'd be happy to give it out! She was so helpful with our situation....I had guests r.s.v.p the day before the wedding at 9:30am and then bring their daughter to the wedding with no notice. She was so understanding and helpful and patient too.
***my next two reviews i'd like to note are based on the fact that my origianal ones cancelled on us two weeks before our wedding.

She is just starting out, so we had our engagement pics done with here to see how she'd work. Previously she had done one wedding prior that we'd seen pictures for. So, she did our engagement pictures which we were thrilled about, they turned out great. Then we were trying to set up a time to meet so she could see the church and be familar with it since she had never been there and meet with her husband (they do photography and dj) to go over songs and things of that nature with him. I said I wanted to wait till we were closer to the wedding to do so. We went about two-three months with out talking and then we set a date to meet up to see the church (which I had to call and reserve) only to find out that by an email that they were not going to do our wedding. This is after numerous emails that went unanswered. I am not sure about what was going on but their servcie was poor.

She was awesome! She even lowered her price being that we didn't need engagement photos and on short notice (really I think she felt bad). She was awesome and early the day of. So helpful and fun. We'd seen her work and knew it was good. She was super awesome when it came to others wanting to take pictures as she was! (which I know can be annoying for them) she did so without missing a beat. She took so many pictures, came up with places to go outside and stayed longer at the recpetion due to a lost garter! check out her blog

Chris was awesome, did such a good job. Such a super nice guy and funny too. He was able to meet with us short notice and was helpful with difficult situations at the reception. Can't say enough about how helpful he was throughtout the night and listening to our suggestions on music too!
Cupcakes: Sams Club A++
Great! Everyone commented on how good they were. Awesome pricing, can't be beat either! (30 cupcakes for $13). Turned out super cute and in my custom colors and cute flowers on top (after some sweet talking to them for no extra charge!) only funny thing is the colored frosting turned your teeth colors! ha
