Limo exit

My fiance and I are staying at the resort we are getting married at.

At the end of the night, we are doing a limo exit, we thought it would be nice to drive off for about an hour and just relax for a bit and talk about how the evening went and sip on some champagne. My question is.. is the limo a good idea or just a waste of money?

Experiences, stories?

edit: just realized this should be in reception ideas. sorry.

The pro to the limo is having someone driving you around so you can both relax. You can give him a list maybe of your favorite places like where you met, where you said yes for him to drive by, like a drive down memory lane. Plus if you've been drinking it's safer.
  • Limo is a giant waste of money, especially for you since you are staying at the resort.  Car services charge by the hour, then add gratuity, tax, tolls, etc.  For the smallest car, usually a Lincoln Town Car with the lowst hourly rate, there will be a two hour minimum, even if you only use the car for ten minutes.  If you want a bigger/fancier car, the hourly rate goes up, as does the minimum time charge.  If you want a stretch, you can easily be looking at a four hour minimum at $125 or more per hour, plus surcharges.

And consider the practicality -- you will have a stranger driving you around, so you won't have any privacy.  Just have a nice bottle of champagne sent to you room, so you can relax in private.
