I had my first (and only) fitting for my bridal gown. All I'm doing is adding cups, a French bustle, and our wedding date stitched in blue thread. It's only going to cost me about $35, amazing!  Oh, and my new shoes, they work! It turns out 3 3/4 inches was the perfect height.

I also had to get fitted for my bridal shower dress. I bought it on sale at Dillards and it was a size too big. My BMs also got fitted for their dresses because it was too big on all of them.

My seamstress makes custom veils and is going to make mine for $100. It's better than every single one I've looked at (I've been to 5 bridal shops and Etsy) and will match my tiara and dress perfectly!

The cards for our well wish table, paper for our programs, and my garters all came in as well. I love getting things done, it's such a good feeling!

Congrats! That is a crazy good alterations price! I'll have to inquire if my lady can stitch in my wedding date as well. I loved that idea but had no idea how I was going to accomplish it!

What shoes did you decide on?

That alteration price is amazing!  That's awesome.  I'm nervous what mine will be.  Congrats on the rest of it too!

I know, I was beyond shocked! She was helping me get out of my wedding dress and I was terrified to ask her, but I asked for an estimate. She said it should be around $35! This is quality work too, not some halfass seamstress. She's done two of my bridesmaid dresses before and several wedding dresses for girls that I know, including my mom. I'm so stoked! Taking in my bridal shower dress will be about $40. The veil will be the most expensive at $100.

These are the shoes I went with, Whit. clickyyy! I still miss my Badgley's, but these ones match my dress and jewelry perfectly, they're $50 cheaper, and since the height is perfect, I have fallen in love with them.

That's amazing!! I have my fitting on Monday and I'm REALLY hoping it will be pretty inexpensive. I'm adding cups, a bustle and need it hemmed slightly. I love the idea of having the wedding date stitched in, too. That's a great idea to have them do it during alterations.

Woo!! Congratulations on all your checks!! That's pretty awesome.  

I'd be scared to see how much my dress would be to alter. It's about 1/2 size too big (and it's a bone corset) and at least a foot too long. Thankfully the seamstress at Alfred Angelo came out and told my mom exactly how to do it. So I don't have to pay. She's just waiting on me to find shoes (boo!!) to start the alterations.
