Marriage License Requirements

We are getting SOOOOO close to our wedding date! Only about a month and a half to go! So I've been looking into what we need to do to get our marriage license and I'm officially confused...haha. I was told that we need to obtain the license from the county that we are getting married in. We are getting married at Valle Vista, so this would be Johnson County (correct me if I'm wrong!). So I went to the Johnson County clerk's website and it listed the requirements to obtain the license....one of the requirement was that one of us has to be a resident of Johnson County...but both of us live in Morgan County. So where am I supposed to go for the license? Johnson or Morgan county? Thanks ladies!

I am also getting married at Valle Vista and we just got our marriage license this past week! You just need to take a valid drivers license (if it's not your current address listed then you need to bring a copy of a utility bill in your name at that address). You do not apply in Johnson County unless you live in Johnson county. We live in Indy (marion co) so we went downtown to the city county building. The process was pretty easy. We both filled out the application and then they had us sign and we were out of there! The indianapolis city county building is off of E. Washington. Hope this helps!
