Getting ready to start making appointments to look at dresses. Depending on the store I shop my size can range from a 14 (old Navy) to an 18 (NY & CO). My mom wants me to go to Kleinfeld's. She says that I should have that experience she went there for her dress all of that. I'm an only child so I know how much this all means but I'm worried about going there. I don't want to be looked at like I should be in a zoo somewhere. Has anyone else gone there? How was the experience?
Re: Nervous about dress shopping
I think it depends on your budget. You need a large budget if you wish to go to Kleinfelds. My fiance's cousin is a size 2 and she had soooo much trouble finding something at Kleinfelds and she had a decent size budget. And she isn't super super picky either. She ended up finding a dress at a local shop. And if youa re nervous about going shopping because of your size just call any shop you plan on visiting ahead of time to see if they have sample dresses in your size and how many? That way you will feel comfortable before you go to the store.

I'm about the same size as you, and I did not have any problems dress shopping.
