I don't post here but lurk alot.  Seeing you ladies in your dresses would always make me feel better.  I am a plus size 26 so dress shopping wasn't exactly fun especially given I wasn't a fan of what DB really had to offer.  Not to mention the one I was considering I would see everywhere.  And then by surprise one day I got this one.  My MOH and I walked into a bridal store just to check out their plus size selection just 30 minutes before they closed.  Next thing I knew the consultant was pulling dresses and two dresses in (and the first one she pulled which is the same one I noticed right off the bat!) was my dress.  I tried on over 30 dresses and started to feel like it wasn't going to happen.  I also had a hard time because I wanted something more fitted but everything fitted made me feel so huge. Only the big ball gowns made me feel pretty but I didn't really want a big ball gown.  This dress gave me the girly look while still showing some curve.  I am a bit shocked because I pictured something more flowy vs something with pick ups.  It's a Mori Lee and I do love my dress.  I had bought the sample for my wedding is in June.  I purchased her right then and so excited.  Alterations will start in May.

@passthewine - I too had issues finding a dress I loved, being a size 26 also it wasn't a pleasant experience. But I'm so glad to see that you found one when you least expected to and you look beautiful!!

I still want to go back and post all the pictures of the dresses I have that I tried on.  I know I found that extremely helpful when I just started looking and to help build confidence to try things out of my comfort zone.

Here's my dress... The corset back was unlaced so it will actually be much more fitted through the top.  I started with a strapless bra, but that didn't fit right with the dress.  My seamstress wants me to switch to a longline bra, so fingers crossed I'm going to go get fitted for one this weekend.  Hopefully that will fill out the top of the dress nicely.

From Davids Bridal, it is bustled on the side in the first picture, and unbustled in the second, but I loved it either way.

Hi I bought my dress about a month ago and have been "lurking" ever since.... finally decided to post it. I bought the ribbon but I'm pretty undecided on it. I LOVE my dress though!

ok so this is my dress alterations have started today. i wore a regular strapless bra but i need some clear straps and the ones i got with the bra are just a little flimsy and wont work so i need some thicker clear straps

morilee 3098 they are adding a thin ivory straps to hold up the dress a little more and then the lace thicker straps that come will the dress will be put on over it

dress is sideways but if you click on the photo it shows it the normal way

I went dress shopping for the first time this weekend.  I tried on 6 dresses at David's Bridal and 3 at Elite Bridal in Champagne, IL.  Once I came out in this dress, I seen the reaction on my girl's faces, and I seen myself in the photo....I knew this was the dress!  I love it!  It is sophia tolli y11416.

I went to DB to find my BM's dresses...  while they were there they thought it was fun to try to dress me up too!  I didn't have all the stuff to go under it (no spanx, etc) but here is the dress that FOUND ME while we were there.  It's completely opposite of what I thought I wanted, but it is perfect for my casual outside wedding  It's a size 18

WOOHOO! Finally figured out how to post pictures! I honestly have no idea the designer and style. I bought it at a really great bridal consignment/sample shop and it fits PERFECTLY. 0 alterations needed!

yeah i dont like my arms showing my upper arms .. but i have a jacket that i have to wear for church i might just keep it on the whole night we will see
