Just got a very good call from the owner of the venue we picked. Our package included a Day of Coordinator, which I was really excited about, because ALL of our guests and even me and my FI will be from OOT. Nor do we want any of our guests having to do any kind of put up or take down.
But the coordinator they had at the time was in the process of getting married herself, and it was IMPOSSIBLE to set up a date & time to meet up with her. We finally were able to set a date almost a month and a half later. Well, 3 weeks before the meeting the owner calls me and tells me that their coordinator is no longer with them. I was a bit upset because of how long it took to even get a meeting with her. But the owner was very great and offered for him and his business partner to sit down with us and get started on the paperwork and overall feel for our wedding, stating they were very hands even with the coordinator. At first i wasn't comfortable, and asked how long it would take to hire a new one. He stated they didn't know, but would call as soon as they did.
Several weeks went by and I was starting to get worried, because they hadn't called and when I called them, they still said they hadn't hired a new one. So I finally decided to set up an appointment with them and we were going to meet this weekend, since we were going to be meeting with other vendors in the area.
But today we got a call from the owners AND the new coordinator, and she will be meeting with us this weekend with the owners. So I am super excited and glad that at least is coming together.
