We are planning on having the reception and ceremony in different cities (only 20 minutes apart). There will be a hotel near the reception that will provide a shuttle to the reception and back. I was assuming guests would check in after the ceremony.
But, the ceremony site we wanted just told me that I have to begin the ceremony at 12! That is terrible because my reception doesn't begin until 5:30! The guests would probably have 5 hours or so in between, to drive to the hotel and check in!
I definitely won't go with it if I have to start at 12, but in this situation (the hotel, etc.) what amount of time do you feel is too long inbetween the ceremony and reception? (We will have to do our pictures inbetween too).
