How far ahead of time can you get them in Maine? Is it 90 days? And do you have to have them a certain amount of time before the wedding?

It is 90 days.  And there is no waiting period.  You could theoretically get married in the parking lot of your town clerk's office.

So if we get it 8/24 for a 9/19 wedding, we are fine?

Just wanted to chime in and let you know that pp is totally correct. It's super easy! FI and I are planning to get ours 9/9 for our 9/12 wedding.

Awesome! Thank you! I figured it would be easy but then didnt realize that we had to go together to do it.  Thats the hard part.  Getting a day off during the week together to go.  So exciting!!
