Venues within an hour of Augusta/Waterville

So, one of my closest friends is getting married and she would like a really nice venue, kind of upscale, near Augusta/Waterville. I tried doing a google search but didn't find much. Can anyone help?

Portland is just about an hour south on that radius.  Is she willing to look in Portland?  That will open up a huge number of options!

How many people?  We are getting married in Newry/Bethel at the Ski Esta.  It's a private house rental that can seat about 70 guests or so comfortably in the living room.  It is definitely upscale and different.

Oh and I should note that she would just rent the house.  The food, rentals, etc is all done separately but she'd have the benefit of a couple/few of us on here who are having events there, and we all love to share info.

Thanks for the responses. I am not sure exactly how big her guest list is but I think it must be more than 100, they both have huge families, which is too bad because the Ski Esta did look really fantastic. I will pass on the sites I got from the other thread, thanks so much.

What about Samoset Resort in Rockland, or the Camden Harbor Inn in Camden?

I am getting married at the Lakewood Inn Restaurant in Madison which is 20 mins from Waterville and about 40 from Augusta.  It's in my bio.

My MOH is getting married at Millenium/Manson Park this summer and the rate are very reasonable there.  I think their website is milwed.com, they have a salon right on site and there is also a separate pub for after the reception.

Augusta is pretty close to everything.  You could do coastal or mountains, lots of options!
