registering

How do you let ppl know where your registered...
Not that ppl are requared to get me anything at all but i wasnt sure how you let ppl know if they do want to do something for us. Do you make a web site and put it on there or is it one of those things you that you only tell people when asked. Ive never had to plan a wedding or help plan one so im just not sure how you go about it!

Whoever plans your shower should send that information out in the invitations.
That and answering when people ask you directly are really the only ways to get the word out that are acceptable etiquette.  If you already have a website with general information for guests, you can include it on there, but don't make a website for that purpose.
I had 2 VERY small showers (with overlapping guests, even), so the vast majority of my guests had no clue where we were registered - we got a lot of random gifts (which sucked!) and an insane amount of gift cards to BB&B - where we did NOT register, but apparently people assumed we would have registered there...

Some places will even give you small cards you can put in a bridal shower invitation, like Macys. I'm not sure if it follows wedding etiquette, but it sure is helpful!
