i was reading a magazine that says the 6 months mark is when you should order your invitations, has anyone done this yet? i know it says to send them out 3-2 months before the wedding. I have an idea but haven't ordered them yet.

I contacted the artist this week to discuss the design. I'll probably order them next week. I'm not in a huge rush but I figured it was better to get that out of the way now. The sooner they come the sooner we can starting knocking out the addressing!

I know a lot of the girls here have ordered theirs already. I plan on ordering mine probably within the next month.

I'm just starting to look now. I think this is about the right time. Look/order sometime in April. They might take about a month to come in. That still leaves an entire month to adress and assemble. Send in july!

I haven't ordered mine yet. That's on the "April" to-do list for me. We sent out save-the-dates this week so I don't really feel like the invitations need to go out a full three months before the wedding. If we order invitations in early April and get them mailed by late June, we'll be in good shape I think.

I have mine ordered, but not assembled yet. It took me less time than I expected to find what I wanted, and it was nice to mark it off my todo list!

We will be ordering in the next few months. They don't need to go out until 6-8 weeks before the wedding (max) anyways. So I don't feel the need to rush.

We picked the design we wanted about a month ago and just contacted the Etsy designer to get the process started. We plan on sending ours out 6-8 weeks before the wedding.

I am picking my invitations up today. They came in yesterday. They were only ordered last week. They came in fast...

I ordered ours at the same time that we ordered our STDs.  They are in and sitting in my closet waiting to be addressed.

We also picked a desinger on Etsy and have started the process already.  We've had 2 rounds of proofs and I just need to send her a few more changes to make them final.  Our designer on Etsy is addressing all of them for us as well as the return envelopes so once we get them we literally just have to assemble and mail.  I'm hoping approve the final design in the next week or two.

I ordered mine qutie awhile ago.  I actually just addressed and mailed mine out this week.  I know it is a little early but most of our guests are OOT and I wanted to give people enough notice and time to plan.  You still have plenty of time to get yours ordered I just wanted to get mine done a little early and get it checked off my list.  I am also doing all of mine long distance from England since I am stationed here with the military so I want to give myself time to get things in order and be as stress free as I can.  I also figured it gives me time to send invites out to people on my B list when I start to get some sorry we can't make it replies back.

Haven't ordered ours yet, it's on the to-do list.  We've started looking at designs sometime in April/May we'll get them ordered.  Most of our guest are local so we're not planning on mailing them out until mid/late June.

We're mailing 8 weeks out (July 8) with 4 weeks out (August 8) RSVP date. FI's designing them so he'll be working on them in April and we'll probably have them printed in May. That will give me a few weeks to order envelopes, stamps and do addresses and envelope liners and such. Assembly always takes forever.

Mine are ordered, arrived, and the envelopes are off being addressed by the calligrapher. I wanted to get this done sooner rather than later because April and May are looking to be two months of little to nothing wedding related. (Thank you to my job. Ugh!)

I finally found the invitations we liked and ordered the template! I need to add our information in and get them printed, and that will probably happen sometime in April!
