My cousin married this past weekend at a zoo, and I was her personal attendant (and for me a great learning experience). Two things came out of this, has anyone else been to a wedding this year (esp summer), and viewed it in a whole different way? I cried three times for her wedding! Part of it was there were a lot of emotion, her mom passed away when we were 13 and his dad passed last year. I realized I am extremely lucky that both of our parents are able to be there on our day! I think it also hit me that we are getting married SOON, and kept thinking of all the emotions. Has anyone else had more emotions attending someones wedding this year?
I know most of us are pretty on top of things, BUT just make sure you put time into figuring out ceremony besides what is written on paper. I know some churches are really good about this or DOC. I had planned on giving everyone a timeline for Friday and Saturday, but that was something I found out she didn't have either and it really through people for a loop not knowing exactly what was going on. I am definitely planning for walky talkies, just to be able to communicate. If anyone is getting married in September where it still might be warm, like it was for their's (110 heat index), her dad purchased the day of handheld battery powered fans, worth it. Kleenex not only for the tears but I think everyone went through multiple just to blot off the sweet!! Her brother was the usher and told me something for my wedding was to make sure the ushers know where to seat people esp if you want the first few rows filled with certain family members.
Otherwise her wedding was amazing, beautiful, emotional, and a blast!!!
Just thought that some of this might come in hand for other people!
