how much time are you taking off?

Man, I'm so jealous of everyone's time off!

I'm a contractor so I don't get paid days off (except holidays). I'll be taking the Thursday/Friday off before my Saturday 9/1 wedding, and then of course I get that Monday off for Labor Day, but then it's back to work Tuesday. The paid holiday for labor day is the sole reason we chose the date we did.

If I'm lucky we'll do some sort of weekend honeymoon in October or November, all depends on what bills come up due though.

I am getting married 9/2. Dont think I want to take any time the week prior. But I am taking 9/3 to 9/7. We wont be taking our honeymoon until October, so we're gonna do a "mini HM" probably the Tuesday or Wednesday after. Then Cabo in early October sometime. I should get that booked soon...

FI and I are not taking off any time before the wedding because we're taking just over two weeks off after the wedding for our honeymoon.  Our wedding is on a Sunday though so we will have time on Saturday to tie up any loose ends and do the rehersal and whatnot.  We plan to get as much done in advance as is humanly possible, we've already decided that he's taking VJ Day (gotta love RI holidays) off so that we can get our marriage license in MA that day.

I plan to take off 2 weeks Wed Sept 26 (wedding saturday the 29th) through Ocotber 10th to cover hoenymoon, travel and at least one relax day before back to work!

I'm taking off the Wed and Thurs before the wedding and then 2 weeks afterwards. And let's face it, I might end up taking off the whole week prior to the wedding. I"m a graduate student on a stipend, so my work is *extremely* flexible and there's no such thing as "vacation" days. Everyone works every day, but it's also not unheard of for someone to take a month long trip "back home" oversees. 

FI will probably work up until the wedding and then take the two weeks off afterward for our honeymoon. He has a real job and needs to save his vacation days.

I'm not 100% sure yet but I think I am taking sept 19th-24th off (wedding is 22nd). then work that week, then be off Oct 1-5. My company has this really stupid thing where they shut the place down for a few weeks a year but you MUST use your own vacation time to cover it. So I have to save as much as possible to cover for that and my wedding. I can't wait to get the wedding done with so i can start job hunting again!
