Weekly Checks!

Okay ladies, tell me what you did this week! What are you planning on doing next week? 

Past week

-I mentioned already that I've been in Chicago for a conference since Wednesday. Needless to say, that's occupied most of my week. There's so many things that I'm itching to do though so this kind of drove me nuts. I did go to the travel agent though! I'm just waiting on my quote right now.

Next week

-My sister asked me for a shower guest list of my friends so I'll work on that. I might actually try to get that done today.

-call the travel agent Monday and find out what happened to my quote

-buy something wedding related. I've been buying things little by little so I might look for my garter. They have some really beautiful ones on etsy so I might splurge.

This week I accomplished a few things.  I:
1.  Met with a second florist, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with the one we have, which is also more cost effective.
2.  Met with BM-zilla and convinced her to wear the dress I picked.
3.  Changed the color of the men's tux shirts as well as FI's bow tie/vest to cream...I got a fabric swatch of my dress and it isn't even close to white....haha!
4.  Ordered a fabric sample of my bridesmaid dresses.  I will give a piece to the florist and then mail them bits as well so they can take them shoe shopping/shoe shopping in their closet to pick the right shoes.

Next week:
1.  I swear I am going to fix my printer and make the table numbers.  MAKE ME DO THIS.  It's been broken for....4 months?
2.  Read, or at least start, The Five Love Languages/schedule our premarital counseling meeting with the minister.

Other than that we are spending St. Patty's Day at FI's grandma's 90th birthday party.  I'm not totally excited about it, but I won't be telling FI that.  We've been seeing his family a lot and it's kind of stressful... Plus she is completely non-verbal so it's hard to communicate with her

This past week:
1. booked the dj!
2. met with the coordinator at our reception site to look at linens - she didn't have anything that matched my colors so she took my swatch to work with her linen person. i'm excited to hopefully have something that matches really well!
3. looked at rings with dan, i think we have his picked out, just waiting to figure out what size to get him.

this coming week:
1. pick out choices for our tasting
2. maybe decide on honeymoon (this has been on our to-do list forever, and the prices just keep going up...ugh)
3. scan pictures!
4. hear back from coordinator about colors, maybe go over there to play with tables. she said she could definitely do rectangles and circles, but i want to see if they can make up squares. it's also tricky because they only have tablecloths for circles.

Last Week:

- made an appointment to look at tuxes

- emailed a bunch of H&MUAs

- emailed my potential florist with a bunch of follow-up questions

- started picking songs for the wedding

- started thinking about the rehearsal/RD

This Week:

- book my H&MUAs

- book my florist (I really hope she gets back to me ASAP, this check was supposed to be done in February)

- decide on tuxes

- make an appointment for BM dress shopping

- find and order a fascinator for the reception (maybe)

This past week:

Got my hair cut and dyed it 

Basically finished our registries

Picked my shoes and returned the other pairs

Booked our hotels for the honeymoon

Confirmed basic timeline with venue

Did my taxes (return goes in honeymoon fund)

This coming week:

Meet with venue coordinator

Order our wedding bands (still need to confirm sizes)

Contact artist for invitations

Talk to family about renting a house rather than getting hotel rooms

Work on the ceremony draft

Past week:
- Some of my ribbon roses (12/300 hahaha)
- Rehearsal dinner invites designed
- Thank you notes for their seats designed
- Got the last of the charms in for the bouquet charms
- Settled on what we'll have instead of a pillow for the Ring Bearers (officially came to an agreement lol)
- Ordered my garters

Next week:
- First dress fitting next Sat for my girls and I (atleast for her to take in the reception dress, depending on where she's at with the ceremony dress maybe that too)
- Gotta finish more of those darn ribbon roses
- Paying off half our house account at the resort (venue, catering, wedding coordinator, linens, bar and staff, catering staff, DJ)

Met w/ DJ

Met w/ day-of-coordinator

Had catering tasting & decided to go for it w/ this caterer!

Got 10 rooms blocked at a nearby hotel (brings us to 24 available rooms- pretty rural-ish area/small towns so this is proving a bit tricky)

Next week:

Work out contract w/ caterer & get relevant info to DOC & florist

Get info from DOC re: make-up artist she mentioned at our mtg

Continue quest to block more rooms (would like to have 35 I think?)

Maybe continue the wedding ring hunt next weekend

Made the shirts for the ladies (mens oversized shirts with bling)

Made my bridal hanger

Made the ring "nest"

Ordered my hair piece

Ordered my boudoir package

Settled on our ceremony time

Had our 3rd marriage prep class

Worked on the invitations

This week:

Work on cootie catchers & invitations (I thought I'd have more time this weekend but it ended up being gorgeous outside!! - this is why I need to get things done BEFORE nice weather hits!)

Pick out my Pampered Chef registry items for my bridal shower (one of them anyway :P)

Make any final edits to the guest list / acquire any missing addresses

Price out/order digital photo frame (for table)

Last week:

-got return address labels and more addresses for STDs. Started stuffing STDs.
-called about a block of rooms. Will confirm tomorrow.

This week:

-Address and mail STDs! We're late! Ahhh!
-Nothing else. Just try to stay sane.

WOW everyone has been so productive. Keep it up!

I really want to get everything done by the end of May so that I don't need to be busy on the weekends during the summer. My mother also goes down the shore a lot over the summer (I do too), so I want them to be completely free- not running around to vendor appointments and whatnot.

Last week:
1.) Picked up my invitations from the printer. I am so happy with how they came out!
2.) helped my mom find her MOB dress. She is really happy with it which makes me very happy.
3.) Almost finished my list of addresses so I can get it to the calligrapher.

Not bad for last week considering I felt terrible and spent most of it hiding in bed.

This week:
1.) Finish list of addresses and give it to calligrapher.
2.) Look for shoes/garter/jewelry.
3.) My mom asked for a list of friends that I would like to invite to to my shower so i have to get that together.
4.) Going to Men's Warehouse to look at tuxes.
5.) For our HM we decided to stay an extra night in FL: need to find and book the hotel.

Over the weekend, I:
- Bought lots of decor items for the florist to use to hold flowers.
- Bought dresses for the various other showers/weddings I have to attend over the next 12 months.
- Looked into cakes, got prices and size ideas.
- Bought a gift for my cousins wedding shower next month.
- Picked up a small BM gift item.

This week I will:
- Call another farm, since apparently I now have NO ceremony site. The people we were counting on never called me back so screw them.
- work on centerpiece ideas.
- continue to have a meltdown about all the crap I have yet to do.

same here! we start going to the cottage in May and unless I can work on the dock in a bikini, it's not gonna work lol
