September Honeymoon Ideas

Hi Ladies!

Now that I've gotten the majority of the "big" wedding planning decisions checked off my list, I've found that I'm at a loss as to where we should go on our honeymoon.

Any suggestions you lovely ladies have for potential (hurricane free) honeymoon spots would be great!

Thanks!

Re: September Honeymoon Ideas

  • We're going to Mexico for a week right after the wedding. The hurricanes don't seem to hit there too bad and we're getting a polic that gives us 100% back if there's any problems. I think no matter where you go as long as you buy insurance, you're good! =)

What's your budget and what are you guys looking for?

</div><div>We are going on a cruise to Turks and Caicos.  We bought trip insurance (do NOT buy this through the cruise line... they don't cover weather) so I'm keeping fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly.  We chose a cruise because we got the most " bang for our buck" so to speak.  I would have loved to do a Sandals all inclusive sort of deal but we got more for our money with the cruise (about half the price of a resort stay... depending on what resorts you are looking at).</div>
  • Hawaii? :) Tho I think the trade winds stop in September and it can get wicked hot in some places.

We are going to Europe for ours, but last year we took a trip to Aruba. It's outside of the hurricane belt and it also doesn't really rain there. It was beautiful. We stayed at the hyatt which I highly recommend. No need to do AI- the island is extremely safe and it's great to explore.

Fiance and I are going off the beaten path I suppose. We booked our HM for the Canadian Rocky Mountains. No hurricane worries there! Just a different thought.

What cruiseline are you taking?  We booked Royal Caribbean trip insurance and our's carries adverse weather, missing flights etc.
  • We are planning a trip to Europe: Barcelona, Florence, & Paris. We so desperately wanted to take a cruise to Southern Carribbean but feel that it may be more appropriate for our 1 year anniversary.
