Return address....handwritten?

I see that most say you must hand-address your invites. I assume the same is true for the return address? What about on the RSVP cards? I'm considering doing postcards, can the return address be typed?

I printed off our return address on the back flap of the invitation envelope and on the front of our rsvp envelope.  It was easy to do on the printer and I think they look great since it's all the same font as everything else.  We are hand writing guests' addresses on the front, of course.
