Reception Food Wording

Hey girls!

So I am lost.  We are having a pasta station and these little sandwich things at our reception.   The pasta station is like a choose from two pastas and two sauces and a couple other choices.  Same with the sandwich thing.

My question is how do you word that in the invitation since it isn't really an hor d' ouerve reception but its not necessarily a dinner either.  What do you think?  Thanks girls!  I really appreciate it!

Re: Reception Food Wording

  • Is it enough food for a meal or not really?

  • It would be for me but it's hard to say for everybody you know.  Thats whats givin me troubles.
  • That sounds like a meal. Isn't it? No need to write anything about the food on the invitation. I'd just write "Reception to follow" or whatever variation of that suits in terms of timing and location.
  • Talk to your caterer and ensure they will have enough food for a meal for each guest, and then you don't need to specify.
