We cannot afford to have both the Inner and Outer Evelopes printed with addresses and names, so I have to make a decision.
Do I have all the addresses printed on the Outer Envelopes and then Handwrite the names on the Inner Envelopes
OR
Do I Handwrite address on the Outer Envelopes and have the names printed on the Inner Envelopes?
I am leaning towards having the addresses printed on the Outer and handwriting names on the Inner b/c I'm thinking the Outer should be more formal and is the first impression of the invite. Also handwriting the Inner makes it seem more personal and I believe the Inner's are supposed to be less formal??
Please share your thoughts though! Thanks so much!!!
Re: Print or Handwrite Inner or Outer Envelopes?
I like having both the same type font, keeping it uniform.
And if you are going to do one over the other, do the inner. That's the actual invitation envelope. The outer is the delivery envelope. But the formality and writing of both should really be the same - so why not DIY??
But if you can't do that, print the outer (delivery address) and hand write the inner (more personal).
I think handwriting them is overrated, especially if you don't have great handwriting. It will look a lot nicer printed and I really don't think people care that much about it. I know I don't even notice when I get an invititation unless the handwriting is horrible!
I vote for consistency. Either print both or handwrite both.
Squirrly did wrap-around labels that look really cool. Maybe consider that?
