TheKnot guest manager question

Tearing my hair out -- we can't figure out how to add an "and guest" to a party using the Knot's guest list manager feature. You know, if you don't know the person's name, you're just saying "please bring a guest if you like", how do you enter that? It seems like yiu have to enter a first and last name in order for the tool to understand it's two people, not one.
