Wedding Invitations & Paper

questions on rsvp cards?

My parents recently got an invite in the mail and the rsvp cards had the normal accept/decline line, then another section that said something like "at our wedding do you plan to.... a) dance a lot, b) smile a lot, etc. This I thought was kind of cute. Then the next one was "what are the couples best qualities.... a) good looks, b) great choice of friends, etc. I'm not trying to be judge-y, but is there a purpose for that that I don't know about? I've never seen it before!

Re: questions on rsvp cards?

  • They might be planning some sort of game or special kind of speech at the reception. It's cutesy in a bad way to me, but this couple knows their own friends and family. Mine would plain not return an RSVP card that complicated, just 'cause they'd get confused.

  • Sounds kind of weird to me, but to each their own I suppose.

  • I guess they found it curte. I find it kind of ... dumb. I hope they're not doing any games at the wedding.

  • to each there own...but that is really odd. was their rsvp card rather large? i could barely fit my meal choices on there let alone a bunch of cutesy questions fishing for compliments! i'm curious...what did your parents select? lol

  • This invite was also sent to my whole family (brother is 24 and lives at home, and I'm 22 and don't, but was sent to the "Smith Family".... The Knot has taught me better than that!

It was quite large, probably 3/5x5ish, I'm guessing. It didn't have meal choices, so maybe that was their way of filling. I was just curious! :)
