Table Numbers?

Are table numbers the best way to go or does anyone have any cooler ideas to replace just the boring number on every table? I saw one wedding on here use landmarks instead.

Table numers are the most logical and efficient way to locate your table.  Everybody knows that table 4 is between table 3 and 5, but nobody knows where in the room the Eiffel Tower table is.  If you do go with names, use numbers, too, so guests don't have to wander all over the room looking for their table.
  • I suggest you use numbers like Peavy is saying above. But you can have each table number correspond with a table name such as "Table 1 - Paris." The numbers help people find their seats fast and without confusion.
I am doing our memories as our table numbers. So "Table 1 - First Kiss" with a picture of us kissing and so on.

  • My wedding is small so we have 8 guest tables of 8... i am renaming my tables with places we have traveled to "Orlando" "Toronto" "Kansas City" "Vermont" - making small maps and having them in picture frames on our tables - we will also have venue staff with a table map to help anyone who looks like thy need it

one of my friends used diff words meaning kiss like Beso

    good luck :)

  • My daughter added photos to each table number to represent the bride and groom at that age.  We found photo albums at The Dollar Store that offered space for three photos.

At Table 5, for example, there was a picture of the bride and a picture of the groom at the age of 5.  If we could, we tried to coordinate the pictures as well (both pictures at the age of 6 were of the B & G in Halloween costumes, etc.).

It was definitely a bit of work, but it turned out adorable and the guests really enjoyed looking at the table numbers.

<div>This.  You could always have a table number, but each table number is decorated with a different photo of places you guys have visited, etc.  I did table numbers, but I don't think mine are boring - there are plenty of ways to make numbers more interesting =]</div>
