I am having a whoo is me kind of night and need to vent.  You gals are awesome, so I figured it wouldn't hurt.  Money is very tight for me and fi.  I have a daughter from a previous relationship and not getting child support even though it is court ordered.  I just found out I can get a mortgage (credit sucked and didn't think I would be able to).  So now finding a house is very important.  I want to go on a honeymoon but money is probably going to be too tight.  I really wish money grew on trees.

We are also house hunting while wedding planning. As if we need any additional stress! If you can, can you try to wait for house hunting until after the wedding? Then you can save some more money in the meantime too before you start this process?
For the honeymoon, try to pay everything related to the wedding on a credit card with points. Then you can redeem some of those points towards your honeymoon.

I understand. We bought a house in July and are still adjusting to home ownership. My unsolicited advice? If they offer an applicances warranty, buy it! It's usually $100-200ish. We decided to chance it and half of our appliances have ate it in the last few months...I feel like we're shelling out money left and right!

Best of luck with the homebuying process- it can be stressful, but try to enjoy it! Before you know it you'll be in YOUR home!

If buying a house is really important, maybe put off the honeymoon till your one year anniversary? I know some people who are doing this as well.
