I need your advice....

Hi ladies! I was hoping you could give me some advice. My best friend and I are both getting married next spring. My wedding is planned for May 11th and hers is April 26th. The issue here is that I've had most of my vendors booked since february and she just booked her first vendor this week. My question is, when should I send out my save the dates? I'm afraid that if I wait too long and send them out after her everyone will think I planned mine right after hers on purpose and am being rude. We have a lot of overlap on our guest lists. What do you think?

Typically you can send them out anytime under 1 year, I'm doing mine about 9 months out. I don't think anyone will think you planned yours right after hers on purpose...your probably just over thinking this.

I'd understand the concern if she was your cousin or something, but if it's only a few friends I wouldn't worry about it-especially if your mutual friends already know what's going on. If things go as planned for 2 of my friends, they want to get married May 4th next year and there will only be 3 common people that would be invited to both.

I plan on sending mine out October-Novemberish, so about 7 months out.

If it was only a few people, I wouldn't be concerned, but it's around 25 of our guest list that will be invited to both. Her family and FI's family are very close. We consider them family and even spend Thanksgiving with them every year.

I guess I still wouldn't worry too much, if these people love and care for both of you- they'll make it to both and won't think one of you's trying to sabatoge the other.

I had two close friends get married within 2 weeks of eachother (and acutlly had another wedding smack dab between theirs), These friends had mutual friends also. There was no issue. It was just 3 straight weeks of wonderful celebrations full of love. :)
