TGIF!

This week has crawled by (that's why I keep confusing the dates!).  Today I feel completely unmotivated to work because I had a few students cancel last minute.  I really just want it to be the weekend!

How was everyone else's week?  Any exciting wedding related develpments?

TGIF is right, I am slowly about to slam my head into my desk. The alarm guy is here to fix it because it has not been working right and now he has been here for an hour, setting the alarm off every 5 minutes. KILL ME.

And only wedding related development is that my contract for photo, video and DJ has been mailed to me. YAY!

Also contemplating an hors d'veores buffet instead of dinner due to the Friday night. It would save me money but I don't know how I feel about. (Opinions welcomed on this one, not sure if we have talked about this or not.)

My week's been fantastic with FI wanting to make our guest room into a craft room for me :-P I've been busy looking at IKEA stuff, lol.

My dog's now confused as to why the bed isn't in that room since she loved to jump up on it and snuggle into the pillows.

Nothing too exciting on my end just work and school.. Hopefully tomorrow we will go see The Vow before I head to work... No new wedding details just yet waiting to hear back from the catering company so we can meet and design our menu... Searching for our officiant found one just want to have extra just incase they aren't available. Also looking for another photographer they previous photographer we liked doubled in price (

Typical work week for me. Nothing overly exciting. Did find out that I should have gone to school to be an oral surgeon because they sure do make the big bucks. (need to have wisdom teeth out). Best part about the week is I am officially on vacation in about 49 minutes . Flying out west to spend a week with my sister and her family and her and I are going to have her try on the BM dresses We are waiting on the contract from the wedding venue so we can sign and put the deposit down so it is secure.

My week was sucktastic. I'm in overdrive for school right now, and I just need a break. My last midterm before reading week is on Monday, and then I'll just be catching up on all my paid work that I've been ignoring for the past week and a bit. FI is out tonight, but I'll be doing homework all night again (second Friday night in a row). Blech.

My Mom and I are going to look at another venue tomorrow though, which I'm excited for. I really like the first one we saw and the price was right, but I don't want to jump on it and wonder what my other options looked like. After tomorrow, there's only 1 more I'm interested in, but I haven't decided if I'm interested enough to really consider it or not. The beauty of planning so far out is that I don't have to decide ASAP, although I don't want to sit on it for too long since I know that last one books really far in advance.

Reb: I love the idea of a cocktail reception.  I think it's perfect for a Friday night wedding.  I really wanted to do that but my in laws didn't think people who were coming from out of town would want anything less than a dinner...

Side note: Holy crap- we just an invite to FI's cousin's wedding.  It's a three day wedding that's costing about $200,000.  The invitation said "please no boxed gifts".  That just annoys me to no end!  That's just another way of saying, "give me money".  I do not need to pay for their ridiculously priced wedding!  Makes me not want to go and not send any gift...

If everything goes to our friends and families plans, FI and I will have 4 weddings to go to in the next year and 3 months- 2 of them possibly happening next May! 

A couple days ago, a family friend of FI's asked where we're registered (we originally did for our June 2012 date) and if we have anything saved for our future house.

Yup... it's three days, with three different meals for 400 people.  Insane!  The invite was bejeweled and included three different invites for each of the three days and was 10 inches long.  I just hate when people have such bad manners to include anything about presents on an invitation.
