I am going to a wedding this afternoon of a really good friend of mine from high school. We got engaged within a month of each other and things have really been kind of tense the last year. Anyway...we've since talked a little and she came to my shower and I went to her shower and bach party....she won't be coming to my wedding though because she'll be on their honeymoon. I've come to peace with it since there really isn't anything she can do about it and I would never expect her to change or make different plans just to attend mine.
I feel like I'm going to be comparing everything to mine though....we have totally different styles in everything so I know that it isn't going to be similar in the slightest, but I feel like that's just a natural thing to do when you are planning weddings at the same time as someone else. She flat out told me at her shower that if it weren't for her FI, they wouldn't even have a wedding...he apparently has been doing everything and making sure that things are done when they're supposed to be....she's always been kind of twirly..even in highschool..was always late, never knew what was going on...so I'm glad she's found someone who balances her out! It should be a good time this afternoon, regardless.
