Vendor Seating Question

I plan on having a table at my reception reserved for the vendors. Do I make them escort cards? Do I put a "vendor" sign on the table instead of a table number? Do I just tell them where they're sitting? Help me : )

If it were me I would still number the table...keep the theme going and then let them know. Additionally, I wouldn't do escort cards for them...all though a nice gesture I'm sure your venue can tell them which table to sit at (since they should all be working together that day anyhow - plus you would have already told them before the event) I think the e-cards are really more for the guests...but that's just me. :)

I'm not planning on doing escort cards, table number or centerpieces for our vendor's table, although they won't be in the main reception hall.

They're vendors, they get that they're there to work and usually just sit, eat and get back to work. I wouldn't worry about it.

I can't help you there, but thank you for posting the question!  I am going to meet with my venue coordinator this afternoon, so you reminded me to ask about that!

I would still put a number on the table but wouldn't do the escort cards. You can let them know what table they will be sitting at via email or have your DOC let them know (if you have one).

Our DOC is handling all of this for us.  I think generally venues know exactly what works for this and have it already included with your rental.  I would talk to your DOC or the venue and see what they want you to do.

I work for a catering company (part time) and the vendors almost always come back into the kitchen and eat. They don't sit at a table with the guests at all.

I will be checking with the woman at the reception location to make sure this can be done for our vendors so that I dont have to find them a table to sit at. I'm having a hard enough time as it is finding tables for the wedding guests!

I talked with our DOC about this same thing and she told me that they don't seat them at guest tables because, they are working.  She said the DJ won't even sit, he will just eat at his station; the photographers and videographers will be directed to the cocktail tables or benches around the venue to eat when they are ready.  I would check with your venue and see what they usually do for vendors.
