freaking out

So I have been M.I.A for awhile because FI and I just moved a week ago.  I have been trying to get the house in order and we are finally settled in the new place.  Now I am freaking out about wedding stuff.  We have only 12 days left and I still have not done the programs.  I am not meeting with the organist till this Saturday so I cannot finalize everything until then.  I know Staples or some place can print them out easily but I am freaking out about the little stuff.

Also, two weeks ago I had one of the worst migraines I have ever had.  It was my first migraine in exactly a year.  Always after a migraine, I freak out that I will get another.  And now I am worried I am going to get one on my wedding day.  I know worrying about it will just make me more stressed and likely to get one but ugh I am such a hypocondriac (sp?) and don't want it to ruin our special day.  Let's hope that it doesn't happen.  I'm praying I don't get another migraine for another year.  I'm thinking God will be looking out for me though on my special day. :)

I hope everyone else's planning is going well!

Re: freaking out

  • Your picture says it all.  Just focus on the two of you and try to relax and not obsess about things you cannot control.  At the end of the day, the two of you is ALL that matters.
I suffer from migraines and I can completely relate to you right now.  I had one a couple of weeks ago and know what you feel.  Keep focused on what is important to the two of you and everything else will just fall into place.

  • I also get migraines, so I feel your pain. I'm terrified I'll wake up on my wedding day with one and spoke to my neurologist about it ... I now have a shot of Imitrex to use if I need it. It's actually quite a relief to know that I'll have meds that will work quickly in case I need them ... Maybe consider talking to your Dr about it?
  • Just focus on what's important, and don't stress yourself out with those little things that don't really matter much at the end of the day :)

  • Moving is so stressful, FI and I will also be moving one week before the wedding so I feel your pain! I am also a chronic migraine sufferer so I quite literally feel your pain there as well. I would encourage you to see your doctor and ask about non-narcotic treatment options just in case one happens the day of. Not to preach or sound like your mother but I know how devasdating migraines can be and I would hate for one to ruin your wedding! Good luck with all the last minute stuff and hang in there!

  • Like the pp said, just focus on what is important and try not to stress.  Easier said than done, I know.  Perhaps a massage the day before or morning of your wedding?  Not sure if they have Massage Envy where you are, but you can get a great massage for $39. I am planning on going there the week of my wedding.  Just want to make sure I am relaxed and in a good place mentally! lol don't need any bridezilla moments! :)

Also as far as the programs go, we aren't having any.  If they are stressing you out this much, just skip them.  I hate to say it, but most ppl will throw them away before the reception even starts!

  • Thanks guys! I appreciate all the support. I don't even have a neurologist to see since I have gotten them so infrequently. With less than two weeks till the wedding I wouldn't even know where to start with seeing a doctor.
