So I am having the opposite problem that most people normally dont have... I want to invite about 75 people to the wedding and I can only come up with 50 or so... This is sooo sad and that including my parents friends...

Have you considered co-workers and maybe friends of the family that you or your parents are close with?

Girl 50 people is plenty!!  i'm hoping a lot of people RSVP no so I dont have to spend so much on catering. The less people you have at the wedding the more you can spend on decorations you want and stuff like that. Just have an awesome dinner with tons of food since your only having 50. And I know that within the next year your list will grow.. meeting new people etc..

OMG Amber I'm so glad you said this. I've been trying for over a month to get a guest list out of FI and he keeps saying he doesnt have anyone to invite! So I called his momma and got her list. We're having a tiny wedding, 45-50 people total and I think it suits us.

Don't stress over how small your guest list is, instead be happy that you have 50 super close people that you get to share a precious part of your life with intimately. Celebrate your marriage with people you love, rejoice you get to spend a lot of time with each of them, and enjoy the intimacy it allows.

You ladies are right... I just hope that everyone shows up... I know I may recieve some no's but I atleast want 40 guest to show up....

I have the SAME THING! Thing is you don't want to just invite 'anyone' and you have a budget to stick to; so invite who you know is close to you and will enjoy the big day with you

I'm sooooo happy our guest list is small, 60 max and that includes us and the kids.  I think probably only half will show up!  And that is A-ok by me!  I'd rather have it smaller than bigger, I want time to spend with my guests and have an overall fun and intimate time with my loved ones.

Def. don't stress. We only want 50-60 people at our wedding and we are so excited. I am not at all wanting 200+ people at my wedding that I am OK friends with. I want my closest friends and family there. 50 is a great number, it'll be very intimate!

DOn't forget the more people that you invite, the more expensive it will be.  The catering is turning out to be more than half my budget.  That's without any alcohol or drinks....

I wish I had your problem!  FI and I want a small wedding too, and thankfully we've been able to cut it A LOT, but there are still more than 100 people on our list that are JUST RELATIVES.  Both of my parents have 3 brothers, and all their families, and the list goes on.  Right now the list is at 200, but I'm consistently pestering my mother to take people off!  Haha!

Consider yourself lucky to have a small wedding, it will cost way less than if you had 100 people. Plus like others have said, it will be more intimate.

my number is at around 200 and it with all the added fees comes out to 110 a person.(89.00 pp + service fee and tax) im actually praying less people show up. i only budgeted 30K for my wedding and im a little more then half paid right now.

I would invite people just to invite them.. 50 is totally fine!

I agree with what everyone else says!!! I wanted mine to be at around 120 but now we are at 150 and the expenses keep getting higher and higher!! I wish I was in your shoes and only had 50 people. As long as you have people you truly care about there, then your day will be perfect, and even better because it will really be intimate for you all

I agree with PP, you don't want people at your wedding just to fill the seats, you want people there that you care about! Don't worry that the guest list is small; it will be intimate and special!

I also wish I had your problem. Just my aunts, uncles and first cousins, not including unmarried SOs is 40 people on one side! How do I cut some cousins but not others!?
